Hi Claire, how are you related to Stephen? He is my uncle so that makes us relatives It’s very sad, there has been a lot of death and trauma in the family
Thank you so much Riaz and Mark for superb delivery of such a sad story. I was lucky enough to be on location with you guys and you held it together so well, such true professionals. The cemetery scene was particularly difficult :'( RIP Stephen 😭
I'm from Bradford but have never heard of this story. I watch a lot of crime documentaries and have read a lot of real crime stories but have never heard about Stephen's story. RIP Stephen. I hope at least his siblings ended up with good lives.
What a heartbreaking story. I'm also rather astonished to first learn about this in 2023! Rest in Peace Stephen and may truth and justice come to light
Beautifully done. I was eight when Steven died, I lived just the other side of Cleckheaton, and I can still remember being very frightened, because no one was arrested, and rumours being what they are, many believed that a murderer walked among us all. Surprisingly, he did, for years. RIEP Steven
It's easy to forget how violent the average home could be then, dads coming back from the pub every night and kicking the crap outta their family. What a betrayal, dads supposed to ever be the protector, bless you stephen little man.
Good evening Riaz, it's Simon from the MEMORIAL CHANNEL BRADFORD, I have uploaded a memorial video for little Stephen Jennings and I have used the audio from your previous video about Stephen. I hope that is ok? Thanks again Simon.
This was a hard story to cover, and I was fighting against my rising emotions at Stephen's graveside during the final sequence. William should rot in prison until the end of his life, and then rot in hell for eternity.
Such a sad story, it’s absolutely unfathomable how someone could do that to their child! Also I was wondering where you find the grave plans for these cemeteries, ive been looking for my grandmas grave in schoolmoor but can’t work out any of the maps or grace numbers I’ve found online.
I lived a few 100 yards away and used the path on 100,s of occasions as a teen in the 70,s unknowingly walking passed the remains of Stephen. Did you know that the detective leading the enquiry at the time was asked all those years later if he wanted to make the journey to arrest the father even though he was retired...
There was a murderer loose for over 20 years in Shipley until he was finally cought. He killed a young lady on the Leeds Liverpool canal and only got arrested over 20 years later
@@BradfordThroughTheLens a baildon man named Ian lowther . He killed the lady in the late 70s early 80s and was only caught by DNA after a crime watch re enactment 23 years later but only her son lived to see him jailed sadly
The father was my Dad's cousin,so Stephen would've been my second cousin. At the time family opinion was divided between the father being responsible or The Moors Murderers. RIP my lad.
Wow 😮 such a sad story and terrible that this own father was the murderer. His life was cut short he didn't even have an opportunity to grow up 😢 R.I.P. little Stephen 🙏🙏🙏
I have been informed that Jennings was released from prison after only serving ten years or so... if this is true, then I'll forever continue to be appalled by this awful story!
Strange how many cases are solved by a Jack Russell terrier, or other canine friend. D'you remember Pickles, the little dog who save the 1966 World Cup?
If it's the Second West pub at Lidget Green, I was told many years ago that the Second West Yorkshire Regiment marched away from here to the first world war. Apparently there was a plaque in the pub but I don't know if it's still there.
I am a relative of Stephen and I’ve grown up knowing this horrific story. I’d like to thank you guys for telling his story and being so respectful ❤
Thank you.
It had to be told , but it wasn't easy to do 😢

Poor little lad :( his final moments were pain and fear
Amen.

I don't seem to recall that one. 🤔

Very sad
What was the fathers sentence
Not sure. I can't really find a definitive answer on line.
Jennings received a life sentence for murder, but I have heard that he was later released. I have also heard that he died earlier this year.

Hhhmmm... I don't remember Pickles🤔
here,s something WHY IS THE SECOND WEST PUB SO CALLED ?

I'm assuming the murderous dad then died in prison?
No released died Feb 2024
