New shoes for all the kids!! I am glad I'm not the only wheel whore out there. Like two sets in the house, 2 in storage and I find myself perusing craigslist looking for more! Lol I think we need to start a support group for people like us 😅. And NO to all stickers! The cabby looks 100% better with the wheels...actually changes the car completely. Great Vid R.
Love the wheels and the stance of the car. I finally had a chance to sit down and catch up on your episodes this time I had my old man watching with me and he enjoyed watching it brought back some memories of the 90s when my older brother had his 84 gti. As always keep up the good work brother cheers
You mentioned that you were going to swap in a 1.8t in it. Can you in the same time do a thorough clean up on the 1.8t engine? It comes with a LOT of wires and tubes. That can't be necessary all of it?
That wheel looks absolutely fire. Looking forward to the upcoming videos. I noticed that the workshop help was nowhere to be found today. Already taking days off work, sure there was a "PJ Masks" emergency.
Can't believe those Hart's in 4x100. I remember seeing those back in the day in 5x114 on a 300zx. Like those a lot. And man that cabby looks good. Yea I had that reverse rake too in my scirrocco. Neuspeed springs helped that 20 years ago...maybe one day i'll up to the solowerks. What about a G grind cam and some ign advance on the 8 valve for the summer?
Really like those Keskins, they are KT 1 correct me if am wrong. I wanted these so bad for my MK3 Jetta back in the late 90s but mad money.....How much you ended up paying for them if not a secret?
So all the mk1’s have the same size fender flair width an clearance or do they change from year to model like is a base model identical to a gti or is a gti have bigger an more space in them for a bigger wheel with more aggressive lips an offset I’m curious to know because I also have a cabrio but it’s Karman model big bumper car that has the 1.8l gas engine with manual everything but has ac an heat no power steering or anything like that and I have 16x8 wheels with 0 offset if I’m not mistaken an they fit almost perfect to the fender to the lip of the wheels unfortunately atm I have to big of tires side wall an width but once I get coil overs and smaller tires it will sit on the lip no doubt I’m also in the process of swapping a vr6 an boosting it as well I’d like to find a factory turbod motor but I have yet to come across one that’s up for grabs anyways I’d love some input on your idea on how it all goes in an how hard it is to put boost to a N/A vr motor I don’t know much about tuning them or even what ecu to run with it and would be the best for what I’m doing and easiest to get tuned an running like it should
The Cabrio is really nice ! The 16 inch wheels add so much over the stock wheels .
Great video

27:58 Perfect just like that, and totally reversible. Awesome!
Those wheels look AWESOME on that Cabi
Man it looks awesome! I need those wheels for my cabriolet!!
WD 40 is good for removing stickers, and goo b gone is good for residue. Great job, love the wheels. Thanks, RickGTI….. 🇺🇸🔧

Cabriolet looking good, I like the front lowered like that👍🏻

Beautiful
Sweet!
Can you tell me the tires sizes on the Keskin wheels? That looks like a pretty good tire stretch .

Where is this 1.8T Build? I have an 87’ Stock Cabriolet that I’m considering doing this swap with. Thx.

The Scirroco was actually faster with that rake than sitting flat
@@davewhite724 Agreed. I had more oversteer with it up since the front strut travel is so short in the front. Just sux to look at lol.
How do you get the right type of coilovers to fit and install those type of wheels on that car or any other is there a precise measurement
Hey there brother beautiful car r u selling the cabriolets old set of wheels??
Hi mystery garage I have a etienne aigner too but it doesn’t start it sound like it gets no spark n we put new spark plugs
When will you start on the caddy?
Love it! On my personal rabbit engine swap project the car smells like gas when parked, do you have any suggestions on how to remedy that? Thanks!
What size spacer did you use for the wheels?
