- This video shows an awesome day tour in Kathmandu.. I went to holly Pashupatinath Temple ..Pashupatinath Temple (Nepali: श्री पशुपतिनाथ मन्दिर) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
This temple was classified as a World Heritage Site in 1979. This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river", and is one of seven monument groups in UNESCO's designation of Kathmandu Valley..
I found some Rajasthani friends while walking out of Pashupatinath Temple compound..later we went to Boudhnath Stupa.. refugees from Tibet has seen the construction of over 50 gompas (Tibetan monastery) around Boudha. As of 1979, Boudha Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along with Swayambhu, it is one of the most popular tourist sites in the Kathmandu area.

The stupa is on the ancient trade route from Tibet which enters the Kathmandu Valley by the village of Sankhu in the northeast corner and continues to the ancient and smaller stupa of Chabahil named Charumati Stupa (often called "Little Boudhanath").

The stupa wasn't built by Tibetans in 70's as you mentioned. It's an ancient monument built in around 600 AD.

@@tombahma no first of all its called chaitya and its not built by Tibbitan. Buddhism was started in Nepal before than in Tibbet. In kirant Civilization Bushism came in Nepal.Most chaithya Build by Samrat asoka daughters married to nepal prince. But later Buddhism start to vanished than later Tibbitan start to influence in Nepal.
@@pratimarai3678 i was joking, obviously, Boudhanath was built by a Lichhavi King. I was making a joke, like when Nepali people say momo was invented in Nepal when it was originally from Tibet and brought to KTM by Newari businessmen. I know my history.

Boudha is stupa with relic’s of 3rd buddha before present 4th Gautama buddha,guru padmasamba from pakistan who spread Buddhism in Tibet told he himself built boudha in his previous life along with his 3 brothers so Tibetan used to visit pilgrimage being blessed also they took refuge roughly around boudha after 1959 so truely Nepal is country blessed with spirituality

baudhhanath stupa tibeti logo ne nahi kathmandu ke newar community ne banaya he aur isko originally khasti mahachaitya bolte the, (Khasu=Dew and ti =drops in newari lanhuage) and mahachaitya ka artha hota he great stupa.. Yeh stupa typical newari style he na ki tibetan style.

No you're wrong, Swambhunath is different stupa which is in swanbhu and boudhanath is different which is in bouddha. Different stupa in different places inside kathmandu 😊.
