"We're still short about a minute or two. Is there anything else we can do to throw in this episode?" "I can kick the stuntman is the gut." "Yeah, okay, we'll do that."
Well yeah but this video is like seven years old and I really want them to upload more off them but it's whatever I just keep watching them over and over again 😂😂😂
The study was great right until the guy got kicked in the stomach, well no shit serlock a kick from a human person will be much more deadly than a ball...
LOOL this was only a usa striker... imagine if it was roberto carlos, cristiano ronaldo, hulk, or ibrahimovich... loool that guy would die on the ball impact xD
Sinisa Mihajlovic (former Serbian defender) hit Jurgen Klinsman from a free kick in 1998 World Cup, and broke his ribs. Best soccer kickers can generate scary amount of power.
Reece Delaney Rugby players are under payed. I used to play rugby as a flanker, such a fun position and sport but cv fitness is a must. I don't watch sports really but football is the easiest to play (not skill wise just resource wise).
Reece Delaney The only sport I can bare to watch is the certain events in the Olympics (100m sprint, pretty much all racing events under 2 minutes lol). What kind of league are you in?
Nope AF players are much stronger and take harder hits. It has by far the highest number of concussions than any other sport and that includes boxing. Soccer players are wimps who dive at the slightest contact
This show is a joke!!! Every time it's england vs USA and they always bring it back to the USA being harder/requiring more skill/gut. The most biased one was the cricket to baseball!
120 Mph soccer kicker or the testament to why football punt blockers wear the gear being how painful both are. Get this, I couldn't stop laughing (LMFBAO) on the last kick to the stomach! He saw th@+ stomach pain coming! Poor John was stunned, I mean speechless stunned, utters, "Are you Okay?" Hudson said same thing. There should be a part 2 or episode.
I feel like this isnt fair comparison due to two factors. The distance and the athletes. American football is at much higher lv compared to soccer in USA. US soccer player, while maybe scoring alot, doesnt mean that you have powerful kick but rather good kick control. Compared to European players, that soccer kick was weak.
@PoGoCwalkin hell yeah, we lived in the same neighborhood in Sweden, he kicked a whole through the school fence. They still haven't fixed the fence, they keept it as a memory. He was 7 back then
+Will Scharnagl Too right - there's a video on RUclips of Ronny Heberson (Sporting Lisbon) bashing in a free kick at 136MPH. You can't even see the ball.
It's the shape and size. If both are the same speed, but in different mass, size, and surface area, the bigger one is obviously the harder hit. Especially when one is built in a shape that will distribute the force outwards, and fly away rather than smash the target.
i was a 5'6 200 pound FB in highschool and j.c and trust me just because your a big ass d-lineman dosent mean your just gunna smash anyone if that were the case we would of had a bunch of allstars on our team.
1) the shot was from a volley so Obv it's gonna be faster 2) you picked a MLS player which tbh isn't the best league in football many 2nd tier teams are better than MLS and a player was selected from the NFL which is the best eggball (football) league
they should compared the damaged received by a rugby player and an american football player. But in their normal outfits. Rugby (only protection for the teeth i guess) and American football (helmet, gloves, shoulder protection, knee protection, and all that stuff). I have never play either rugby or american football, but I think rugby is definitely more painful in my opinion.
They did that already, they found American football hits harder, but rugby is capable of breaking ribs, though football causes more damage and has harder hits
Logan O Ye because rolling all over the floor every time you're touched, screaming in the refs face for giving a card but crying if you graze your knee is REEEAAALLYY manly, a footballer wouldnt last ten minutes on a rugby pitch
actually it was by David Hirst, the Sheffield Wednesday striker, his shot was measured at 114mph, the video of the shot is at /watch?v=X9tV9evOCIs if you're interested
I got knocked out cold from a soccer ball during a game in just a freak occurrence.. it was a cold day the balls were extra hard and frozen and I just remember turning to see if I was gunna get it on the bounce or not and then my next memories are of like 15 minutes later
John Kob Haha SURE! any champions? Did he make it on Barcelona? No it was too much for me. MOUTH ONLY. He is a great player ? HELL YEAH HE IS GOOD, GOOD enough to be THE BEST and have the hardest kick?? Not yet. Ibrahimovic just a coward who couldn't take the great challenge. ( compete with Messy in the same team)
John Kob John Kob School boys or not They are the TOP BEST. Ibrahimovic ?? Haha you can tell he is no match vs Ronaldo. You can see that when Ibrahimovic ( w.e country he is that isn't worth remembering or knowing) vs Portugal. Who won that game? CR7 did, Is Portugal GREAT TEAM? Hell no. Ibrahimovic and CR7 were equal, with no advantage or disadvantage in that match. Two great figures, one was greater than the other. Simple as that, Ibrahimovic AWESOME player insane goals, better in the world or has more power in the world? NO. Mouth only cuz he says he is the best, probably in his gay world. Not in the soccer world. Ibragaymovic is just full of himself.
I am no lion nor sheep. I am myself ( a nobody) and I like to be that way, and ibragaymovic would crack my head ? well he would just proof me right. Oh it was Sweden huh. Well you probably right. I think Ibragaymovic shines cuz he is in a bad team? and he cannt shine when he is in a good team. Is that it?
+Gogermany34 For real lol Just heading a soccer ball going 10mph hurts more than a helmet to helmet collision in football. I've played both sports so I know lol
A charge down in rugby should also be compared. It has given players bad concussions when trying to block a ball with their hands but instead get kicked in the head.
That's pretty high for anyone. Even for Ibrahimovic. CR7's fastest recorded kick was 80 mph. It was one of the fastest ever. R. Carlos would have faster kicks but my point still remains. 65 mph+ is really fast for any player.
shoebert31 MLS All-Stars who trained together for 2 days beat Bayern's B+ team last week... so MLS isn't a joke league anymore. It's not world-class, but it's definitely a Top 10 league in the world, about at the same level as the Dutch and Brazilian leagues. It will be a Top 5 league in 20 years, if not sooner. Why? Because America is the biggest undeveloped soccer market in the world. MLS and the US national team is about to get really good, really soon. You will see. Our soccer talent pool is like less than 5% of what it could be right now and we still manage to qualify for the World Cup and have a Top 15 team in the world. If we can stretch that to even a 20% talent pool, we will be a world power.
I am so sick of these "science" shows treating their viewers like 8 year olds with ADD. Let us see the action shot in ONE CONTINUOUS SHOT! Afterwards, if you want to add those dumb ass replays because you think it gives it an MTV style to it, that I will begrudgingly accept that. But give those of us with an IQ over 80 a chance to just see the damn action ONE TIME straight through.
***** It claims to be about science. And it is not just this show. IT is ALL the current supposedly "educational" shows like Mythbusters, etc. And what i don't get is how the producers can't see that the shift toward this crap coincides (not so coincidentally) with the steep drop in ratings.
Why are you guys so pissed? It seems okay to me. Do you want different replays? They only have 1 of those replays. I'm sure they don't treat us like 8 year olds. An 8 year old won't even understand most of this.
agree.. never heard of either of the two guys .. never heard of the punter and never heard of this edson guy.. i know ronaldo the soccer player kick was clocked over 80 miles an hour..
Sports Science be like "Who can throw a football more accurately a football player or a hockey player" Tune in next week "Can a NFL lineman block a car moving 60 mph"

"I can kick the stuntman is the gut."
"Yeah, okay, we'll do that."
Lol and the ball to the face. No
Do it with Roberto Carlos and pray .
That's for sure :D
+theo pap was just about to comment that
+bishop christ you'd need a lot more than that
Might as well say goodbye to all family members and friends before getting hit by Roberto carlos shot
+bishop christ insurance. or a coffin. ..
Roberto Carlos would have probably killed John Brenkus...
Undoubtedly
Nathanorange6 or ronny Hebertson he has the hardest recorded shot ever 131mph
Well yeah but this video is like seven years old and I really want them to upload more off them but it's whatever I just keep watching them over and over again 😂😂😂
Nathanorange6 s
Nathanorange6 BIG FACTS !!
There are soccer kicks that reached 120 miles an hour. U should used one of those players
it hurts more to be the punter when they use there body
Ps4 Gaming broadcasts not to mention football players wear pads 😂😂
Veloce V what do you mean I said " it hurts more to be the punter when they use there body"
Veloce V does it matter and that is not spelling it is called grammar
Did he get a concussion? I have a friend that has kicked a concussion
for a fair judgment they should have brought in Zlatan or CR7
It's not like they brought in a great punter either...
Ridzwan TV Please Roberto Carlos if You really want someone that really made a kick and I think Shane Lechler is one of the most powerful punters
Or just gerrard...
Exactly not a shit American soccer player no offence
Why the fuck would you have Zlatan he is no where near the best free kicker.
The study was great right until the guy got kicked in the stomach, well no shit serlock a kick from a human person will be much more deadly than a ball...
2 words... Roberto Carlos... football fans (sorry "soccer") will know what I'm talking about
haha yes. someone would die if they got hit with that!
+Nathan A that guy was a beast!
Um the soccer player probally would have kicked as hard as the football player if he got kicked in the stomach
+Nathan A the ball would curl to much to get hi,
yuppp i know what are you talking about
try getting an epl player or a la ligue one not an mls player
Jacob Jojo too much money.
LOOL this was only a usa striker... imagine if it was roberto carlos, cristiano ronaldo, hulk, or ibrahimovich... loool that guy would die on the ball impact xD
Lmfao I kicked harder than this guy that's sad... MLS is a joke. And I'm talking about my HS kicks not my kick in my prime
Ik christano would kill him or probably give him a very very bad concussion
I liked how the guy reacted like a real soccer player when he got hit
“Getting hit in the head hurts more than in the fingers” wow this is informative
Where's Riise or Roberto Carlos when you need him
The liquid at 0:48 is so irrelivant
I lost it at 2:12.......that face though lol, nailed in the nads!!!
bring zlatan, cristiano, juninho, roberto carlos then we'll talk!!!!
You don't bring zlatan, zlatan brings you
Sinisa Mihajlovic (former Serbian defender) hit Jurgen Klinsman from a free kick in 1998 World Cup, and broke his ribs. Best soccer kickers can generate scary amount of power.
MLS: The league players go to retire.
Soccer is a sport for pussies. Rugby is tougher more skillfull
And more exciting
Players respect each other
And arnt over paid
Reece Delaney Rugby players are under payed. I used to play rugby as a flanker, such a fun position and sport but cv fitness is a must. I don't watch sports really but football is the easiest to play (not skill wise just resource wise).
Lee Farmer I play flanker too haha
Soccers boring to watch
Reece Delaney The only sport I can bare to watch is the certain events in the Olympics (100m sprint, pretty much all racing events under 2 minutes lol). What kind of league are you in?
Lee Farmer I'm in the metro league
Its only club level stuff
That's what I was about to write. Damn Roberto Carlos' shot is not something you wanna mess with, that would be like swimming with jaws!!
Why cant you get Gareth Bale he shoots like 80-90MPH or Cristiano Ronaldo
Takin' it to the dome in the name of science. Awesome.
should of done bale roberto carlos or cristiano ronaldo
+savage pizza should've just been a pizza elsewhere
mls legands retirement home
savage pizza he hits harder then all them exsept ronaldo hits the same
ibra can hit it harder
Soccer gay
Right in the dome! excellent kick way to take it like a champ John
Should of been zlatan, amercian football uses protective gear, and if a soccer player kicked him in the gut it would of hurt the same.
Nope AF players are much stronger and take harder hits. It has by far the highest number of concussions than any other sport and that includes boxing. Soccer players are wimps who dive at the slightest contact
Saffron football players dive to gain extra penalty yardage, don’t act like diving is soccer exclusive
@@zachwoolard3260 Its rare in other sports. Soccer is og and flops happen atleast 5-10 times a game. Its actually encouraged
One of my favorite shows getting hurt for science. I love it.
they shouldve done a volley for soccer player
LOL @ 3:01 "So you're promising me that it's not gonna hit the side of my face..."...LMAO....Promises promises...
This show is a joke!!! Every time it's england vs USA and they always bring it back to the USA being harder/requiring more skill/gut. The most biased one was the cricket to baseball!
it's ok. sometimes the truth hurts. USA! USA! USA!
Robert Taylor Or maybe lets just cheer for earth because earth it pretty great
land of the free. home of the brave. merika!!!
that's right
I agree. And I am American.
I was crying 😂🤣😂when he said my ear was dangling
No one noticed the soccer player wasn't even wearing the accelerometer during the kick... lol
I think it was under his sock
It was under his sock
So abstract to see how they kinda didnt care about concussions in these old clips
get a world class soccer player never heard of this guy

The punter was a no-name college player! He sucks just as much as the soccer player does.
@PoGoCwalkin hell yeah, we lived in the same neighborhood in Sweden, he kicked a whole through the school fence. They still haven't fixed the fence, they keept it as a memory. He was 7 back then

the test guys neck just snaps
mr mr he'll die
mr mr try it with hulk or podolski
mr mr
Ronaldo will miss the target.
Bringing an American soccer player to a sports-contest is the same as a NASCAR-driver in an F1-race...
you should have zlatan ibrahimovic kicking the ball instead
Or me. I have good power shot videos on my channel. Unfortunate i played at sand field, it goes even faster at grass.
Zlatan agrees.
i was a 5'6 200 pound FB in highschool and j.c and trust me just because your a big ass d-lineman dosent mean your just gunna smash anyone if that were the case we would of had a bunch of allstars on our team.
72 mph highspeed? Lol... I hope this is not his hardest kick. If it is, he has poor power in his whole kinetic chain.
im 12 and i got 92MPH so he wasn't trying probrably
+jaimie gallant Yes and noone fucking cares about your lies.
***** Sure captain obvious not like everyone can see that.
***** Bitch i've said it multiple times irl, so dont go fucking assuming you know me.
***** No one cares.
Lmmfao. He jumps right into it. Must have rewound that 15 times. I needed this. Now I can go to sleep.
You gotta be kidding me. You take a NFL player and a MLS player. Come on. Take a better soccer player like Messi or CR7
You think they have enough money to get CR7
They didn’t take a nfl player
1) the shot was from a volley so Obv it's gonna be faster
2) you picked a MLS player which tbh isn't the best league in football many 2nd tier teams are better than MLS and a player was selected from the NFL which is the best eggball (football) league

Tendo Pain Well that's kinda irrelevant since in american football they do wear all the gear.
ALP IRL I was thinking the same, that argument is irrelevant in this question

they forgot cristiano Ronaldo . best player the world
Nah
Ehem messi won the copa del rey 2015 :)
Enzo Louis ehem la copa del rey is a team effort cup win, not an individual, although the goal he scored was pretty sick :-) .
Johnny Ramirez They also forgot to get a punter that actually plays in the leauge
my mans took that kick like a g
football players use pads
you were worth dying for they don't cry when touched
@GustavoDFdeS Roberto Carlos is such an accurate kicker but also doesn't sacrifice power for accuracy.
use Roberto Carlos next time, that guys head would've been in the sky right now if Carlos were to shoot...
I got knocked out cold from a soccer ball during a game in just a freak occurrence.. it was a cold day the balls were extra hard and frozen and I just remember turning to see if I was gunna get it on the bounce or not and then my next memories are of like 15 minutes later

Ibrahimovic is mouth only. He does have power but I would rate him 4th or 5th worldwide. There are better players with much more power than him.

John: "Are you ok"
foot ball to the head would hurt worse than a soccer ball. foot ball is more stiff. simple as that.
Football players will never get hit directly in the head though because they are always wearing helmets so your argument is moot.
Oh. Didn't know that. .
+joe gill like they say you learn something everyday😂😂
Dude a freaking soccer ball is close to rock hard
+Gogermany34
For real lol Just heading a soccer ball going 10mph hurts more than a helmet to helmet collision in football. I've played both sports so I know lol
Prem goal keeper would destroy tha punters kick tbh .
Not to mention the likes of Roberto Carlos who's kick would have sent his soul out of his body
Dude. 72mph is nothing
A charge down in rugby should also be compared. It has given players bad concussions when trying to block a ball with their hands but instead get kicked in the head.
55mph is not a fast quick for football (real football not american) , people can hit the ball at over 80 mph
teambringit rock Offical no over 80mph
thats not because he's American, He's bad for america too
fred freddy There doing it purposefully they dont want to kill the guy.
@FantasticFranco In the Stomach a football player has no protection other than a jersey (or a padded top or rib protectors only used by backs)

Actually very few football players have pads across their stomach. Rib pads wrap around, but are only really used after an injury or as a precaution.
Most entertaining Sports Science episode lol
When you hit a ball that's already in the air you can put much more force on it try it.
PUT ROBERTO CARLOS THERE AND SEE THE OTHER GUY FLYING HAHAHAHAHAH
And also the ball doesn't have to go at your face.. It can go at your stomach or arm. That's why you need to react faster before the ball hits you
Sports Science be like "Who can throw a football more accurately a football player or a hockey player" Tune in next week "Can a NFL lineman block a car moving 60 mph"
can a NFL lineman block a car
they should've tried with David beckham or Steven Gerrard , they both have a strong shot
and they were/are in the mls, meaning they were in the u.s.
ya. but then John would have died.
Ahmed the chef curry lol, true maybe!
too old
Dang, concussion right there.
In high school my average was 86mph although I had a few shots close to the 100mph and one shot hit 116mph.
I can sit here and tell you I can easily clear out the 70mph shot with not problems by head butting it. I was a defender (sweeper) MLS players really are not very impressive at all
You never hit a standing ball 116 mph 😂
3:41 "...what?!" hahahaha
stuntman - huge respect
they should had put martial artist. Bren Foster kicked a punching bag at 139 mph delivering 2400+ pounds of force.
John bronkus would die of concussion if lord Zlatan make the shot!..
Wow Edson Butthole has a really strong shot, they should bring Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Bale or Roberto Carlos for it to be fair.
it looks really painful. but to put in perspective, i wonder how it compares to a strong punch with a boxing glove
4:30 Scott sterling xD
I think that when on a football field getting hit by the ball is the least of your worries
None of that compares to the force of being hit in the face with a baseball
Daaaaaamn. Respect... Dude got ktfo
I know. No ones gonna believe me but a few years ago I took a free kick to the forehead and black outed for a few moments. It was really scary. I don't remember much of that weekend
Lol, the soccer ball beat the football by far, but then they were like, "but, what if we straight up kicked the person?" Seems legit.
3:41 WAT!?
Ronaldo done a show on SkySports called Tested To The Limit which had a similar format to this show. His talent is just insane.
you know the soccer arcade machine where you have to kick the ball as hard as possible,I got 999 on that.
Google hurling if you want to see force
