Princess kasumi is the most legendary main character in the dead and alive series ever. She have starred in every doa games,I can't wait for her return in dead or alive 6. She's beautiful,tough,a fighter,and a loyal member of the mugen clan.

Idk how a fighting game character, of all things, became my favorite fictional character of all time, but I love Kasumi so much, despite the people who think I just like her for her appearance. She's the kind of person who'd be willing to put everything at risk in order to protect those she cares about, and that is something that I hope I'll have the courage to do myself if it comes down to that someday.
One thing you have to give credit to Japanese game developers is their ability to design super good looking characters. I mean just look at Kasumi, Hitomi, Nyotengu, and Haya... whatever the guy's the name was. They are just incredibly good looking. Everytime I see Kasumi from the character selection mode, I just stare at her admiring how incredibly pretty she is. And each of these characters have killer theme songs as well.. Koei Techmo must have spent a lot of money developing this game.
I not sexual or something but I'm not interested in they're design they're just norm for me but the thing got me interested in the series is the sound track of all the doa games even dead or alive extreme 3 i actually like deaf or alive extreme 3 its awesome for me and i don't care if it sucks or in other people choices
If I could jump into her world even for a fraction of my life I would marry her in a heartbeat. Sad as it may be I've never had feelings so strong as for anyone but Kasumi, I would spend my life protecting her and doing everything I can to make her happy.

@Just Monika... She didn't "betray" her clan exactly. She ran away despite her clan's laws, leaving her a Runaway Ninja, which by law meant she had to be killed. Raidou on the other hand was going to be punished after his crimes but escaped before coming back and nearly killing Hayate.

I can never really get over Kasumi and Ayane's relationship. I want them to be good again...like when they were children. They're so good together, it's not even funny. Having to actually kill your own sister probably doesn't feel good deep down in Ayane's heart, especially after all these years. It's sorta funny though that they made Honoka. It just means it'd be harder for Ayane not to realize that she can't escape from what she's missing in her life. And whoa I always feel weird that Ayane has a crush on Hayate bc that's literally her brother.
I don't think Ayane has a crush on Hayate. She just has a lot of feelings for him just like Kasumi. They are both his younger sisters. And there are many girls admiring their older brother.
I love Kasumi so much that i can't even put it into words nothing is fitting enough her beauty her gentle heart and her kind nature despite being a kunoichi all are all things i admire about her the first time i saw her in a game informer mag i was like..."who is she i have to know" after that i found the games and played them to excess and when i discovered the rather in-depth story behind the games i loved it even more though her brother is an absolute douche canoe for trying to have her killed several times after she avenged him and killed their traitorus uncle he should welcome her back with open arms not be sending assassin's after her and making her fight for her life, if i had the power myself I'd do anything to protect her just so she could sleep a little easier for a while there is nothing i wouldn't do for her i will be her's until the day my body returns to dust and beyond
A bit late but I couldn't ignore this sweet comment about my favorite character as I resonate a lot with what you said about Kasumi. Regarding Hayate I think he was indeed portrayed as a douchebag in Dead or Alive 3, in Kasumi's tragic ending costantly fighting against those low ranked ninjas sent by himself, but it is also true he entrusted Ryu Hayabusa to protect her from these very people and any other trouble she might face as a runaway ninja, so at the end of the day he was just putting up a facade of clan leader who still cares about her wellbeing and slapped Ayane in Dimensions when she was badmouthing Kasumi. I really wish that if a Dead or Alive 7 ever happens they will finally let Kasumi back in her village as Ayane and Hayate finally came to better terms with her now fighting together against MiST and stopped trying to kill her at least 3 games ago, even if Ayane might still have some troubled feelings towards her but things are slowly moving towards the right path in their relationship (I love the scene when they smile and nod at each other after she throws the kunai at her feet in DOA 5). However I'm not very positive they will try to move forward with her story in the next game considering how much of a small role she had in DOA 6 story mode despite being the cover girl and shes slowly getting overshadowed by Honoka and Marie Rose in terms of popularity.
@amberlamps. I don't feel like Hayate employed Ryu to protect her so much as he took it upon himself to confront her himself to learn her motives. I still find it despicable of hayate and Ryu even though in the end they seemed to finally stop hunting her but still haven't let her back home. As for DOA6. I personally don't think that 6 even follows any of the original story. It's very disjointed and all over the place. And there seems to be a big focus of mothers. Kasumi's mother, Helena's mother who is also for some reason being resurrected? And kokuro's mother and not to mention the out of the blue relation between Helena and Kokoro now being half sisters for literally no reason. And the disjointed connection of making Honaka a Canon character and Ayane's sister. I think they did that just because Honaka and Marie became very popular in a certain aspect when before they were just DLC characters. And neither of them will ever replace Kasumi or overshadow her. But I do kind of feel like they were made to divert attention in a way. Honaka being something of a ditz and Marie basically being a loli.

It's up to Hayate or probabily the elders to change the code at the end of the day, but until that happens their siblings relationship is just Kasumi living hidden in some random village in the mountain awaiting for their signal to come and help them fight their enemies. DOA6 story just sucks. Despite Kasumi being the cover girl as usual she got relegated to a minor role with just 3 quotes, but her situation is very simple: she lives in a secluded village in Miyabi stage feeling homesick while sending and receiving letters from her mother alongside those native purple flowers from her village that Ryu also helps her pick to cope with her nostalgia (it is hinted that he acts like some kind of postman between the two and occasionally visits Kasumi). Although nobody is trying to kill her for the dumb boomer code there are Phase 4 clones hunting her, so she cant catch a breath regardless, poor girl. After killing Raidou she goes like "I remember this childhood memory with the three of us" and then disappears leaving a trail of cherry blossoms refusing to elaborate any further and then credits roll leaving any possible conclusion regarding her runaway ninja life still up to debate and uncertain because the writers are bad and didnt bother giving us answers but questions, if anything. I always hear of Honoka and Marie Rose being very popular characters, and the fact that one of them might be included in the new Venus Vacation game while leaving out Kasumi from the cast could be a very worrying sign of overshadowing and that the developers have probabily forgot who the face of the entire DOA series is.
It sucks due to covid my college crush who looks Kasumi and sounds and have a resembling personality like her( the only thing is different is her race, skin tone which is pale lightskin and her hair length at time it was short because she cut it, now it's long like Kasumi) we can't see each other now
