Hmm it has 400 cycles, 400 full charging of battery, if lets say the battery lasts 6 days on the size 12 and 13 , that means that you get 6 days per cycle, 2400 days. Making this ring have a life of 6.5 years... after that youd want to upgrade . Breaking it down to coat about 6 euro per month if you use it for 6 years.

Genuine question. Is this worth having if ive just bought the new galaxy ultra watch? I have a pacemaker fitted so im a freak when it comes ro checking my heart 😅
I ended up just getting the Ring for my ring finger. Seems to work just fine and glad I did. Super comfortable. I am using a samsung S24 ultra and I do nothqve the gestures option in the Wear app. Any ideas why? I am in the USA
i got mine through Samsung shop and i was able to pair mine with my s24 ultra automatically by opening the lid and opening the wearable app!🤣🤣, also the pinch ring features are not available on the one ui 6.1!! the s24 ultra's next big update might be the one ui 7 android 15 and skip the 6.1.1 and hopefuly the ring geastures will be available!! also, i can get up to 6 to 7 days on a full charge of the ring!! but others may get a few days less depending how active they are!!
Awesome review! Have you found a way to prioritize health tracking on the ring to extend the watch battery life? That would be way more useful in my opinion!
Very informative and detailed video. Thank you. Currently owning an ultrahuman ring and returning it for a number of reasons thinking about switching to Samsung. Question: can you place the ring in airplane mode?
went from 6+ days of battery life on a size 13 ring to less than 12 hours from 100% to dead. been working with Samsung support for more than a week with no help.
@@NJ_GBi'm thinking of replace this with ring and wear it on my left-hand ring finger. Would this be too big for daily and still get accurate reading? TIA.
@iwii071001 Yes. I love it! I do this and as a guy I feel it looks in keeping with my wedding band. Bit chunky compared to my specific custom ring (that doesn't fit after a injury) but perfectly in keeping with many of the more Celtic style bands I've seen. I find the sensors work perfectly, fit is key, and even having on my ring finger I can get the gestures to work. Not only by double tapping my ring finger against my thumb but just by using my index finger as recommended (9/10 times the ring on my ring finger still picks this up as does clicking my fingers etc) I used to have Apple Smartwatch and know from previous tests it generally compared well against Samsung Watch for step count, though activity detection was better on Samsung. This ring detects activity within 3 minutes and appears very accurate, having done the same walks to school and back for years now I'm more than happy with how it compares. I do have phone in my pocket as I'm aware going for exercise without phone can mean the ring only reports a range of heart rate not consistent as you get if phone is within range for live reporting. Step count and exercise detection works without but just limited HR data. I use a Flip 6 so not an issue keeping my phone with me. Phone near you is enough, doesn't need to be on you. Amazing fact... I lightly marked mine by accident within a day... told myself not to worry if this ever happened, my wedding band is scuffed all over, it tells a story etc... however I did try and use lens wipes etc and nope it was marked. However the eraser on my son's school pencil ✏️ rubbed it out like it was a light pencil mark. Found this amazing considering it was a metal on metal mark.
That 400 charge cycle won't be fully achieved since you'll buy the next ring from Samsung, in about two years (more or less) they're likely pump out it's replacement.
Rings are nice , just not for me .I've been wondering if you're going to do a watch 7 ( not ulta) video. It's so much nicer than my classic 4 & pro 5. The rotating bezel on the 4 and big battery in the pro 5 are valuable. With the new chips for speed n storage its so much better. Also, it's close to the ultra in some ways the non athlete may appreciate .
If it was viable for daily use, with the sizes offered it would only fit my pinky ring or maybe my ring finger. Need sizes 14-16 added to their size list lol.
I have the S24 Ultra and it shows in my Wearable app... scroll down, it should be right after Health Settings. If not, check to see if your app needs an update. Good luck!
also the pinch ring features are not available on the one ui 6.1!! the s24 ultra's next big update might be the one ui 7 android 15 and skip the 6.1.1 and hopefuly the ring geastures will be available!! also, i can get up to 6 to 7 days on a full charge of the ring!! but others may get a few days less depending how active they are!!
Most likely, if you hammer more than 10 times in one shot. If you hammer just 3 times, then set something up before doing it again, then it might not track it as steps. If you don't want it to track the hammering, you can switch the ring to the other hand while at work. I hope that helps!
To be honest, this thing is kind of useless, since it's lacking in a lot or remote features that would make it a little bit more exciting for the consumer, such as; play, pause and skip track, also play, pause video or volume up or down, and have a lot of gesture controls and stuff of that nature. Gesture control and remote features would have made it a little bit more exciting as I said before. only sleep tracking and health scores and workout scores and stuff like that it seems pretty unattractive, since your watch basically does the same thing and more, and for the asking price for this tech, I really dont think that this is going to sell well.
