About Brian Beegle
Brian Beegle grew up in Atlanta, Ga. where he spent his childhood as an actor and competitive tennis player, and would go on to graduate from University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
After three years of the actor hustle in Los Angeles, Calif. where Beegle also managed for Rose Bowl Flea Market, he drove a $200 1984 BMW 318i home to Atlanta where he would book his biggest film, “We Are Marshall”, spending 42 days on set as starting running back Lucas Booth.
Beegle also began singing in the cover band Xtra Medium and would play over 350 shows across the south - getting “paid to party.”
In 2006 he was hired as an assistant at Stilwell Casting, one of the nation’s leading commercial casting directors. After studying for two years under Melissa McBride (Carol on “The Walking Dead”), Beegle took over the department and has lead the country in commercial casting for the past 10 years.
After casting over 1,500 projects, he still feels joy in the mission of finding new actors every day. Beegle also loves teaching actors of all levels, focusing on getting them to tell the truth on camera, and to never “memorize” a line.
In 2018 he founded Georgia Entertainment Sports League (GESL.club), a club for anyone in entertainment that wants to meet new people in the industry.
Beegle began his directing career in 2018 when he wrote and directed six commercials for a gym in Atlanta.
As an independent contractor, he is also available to cast TV/film, help with content creation, or direct just about anything.
In 2020 Beegle proposed to his girlfriend live on Facebook during his late night TV show, “Quarantime”, which he produced and hosted from his backyard. She said “yes.”
He loves a challenge, and is always up for anything fun.

I watched this and really liked it! I am in a let's say" Career change ". I read an article earlier about deciding what you love to do and then make money doing it.
At 55 years old I went back to my younger dreams of being an actress..sigh..that never happened Lol 😆. I have always loved to make people laugh and I have been told on numerous occasions that I am entertaining and funny 😄. This makes me happy.. With my bank account slowly draining I thought, WHY NOT ME? Maybe? What do I have to lose? I am located in Knoxville, TN. John do you have any words of wisdom for me😀? Casting calls or Free agents? I can also play one heck of a mad crazy woman, Hee!🤷♀️

GREAT stuff! Wish I watched this 72 hours ago... because I did almost everything he says NOT to do in my very first audition... and it was with HIM! LOL! It felt terrible to me so I can imagine how it felt for him. An hour later I thought of several things I'd have done differently... most of which is in line with what he's saying here. Hope I get another chance to be in the room with him again. Either way.. lessons learned!
It's a reflection of your character to look him up and learn the lesson. So hey, that's a major sign of grit. Future looks bright! Plus, we're all learning!

Selfies stink. YES! in the ZOOM world, once you're logged on HIDE YOUR SELF VIEW. Get yourself out of the picture. Focus on the host, the other actors, and especially the reader for the scene.
I hate when people talk about acting and start saying things about truth and telling the truth, blah, blah, blah... It's such a head trip.
I totally understand it is a broad and easy thing to just say. But, practice a script with your eyes closed all the way through one time and see what you see. Did it help your 'truth'? I use tiny things like this to make sure people mean what they say on-camera. It is much easier to talk about what you mean and you see instead of memorizing the words. That is the truth I speak of. People lie in commercials. They think they are different than film/tv. They are not, they are all a story that you are in, and you must believe yourself make us believe you. :)

@@brianbeegle4835 How can we act if we don't find the truth in ourselves as it relates in to the scene and story? As you say, "Instead of trying to become the role, make the role me." Perfect. We can't BE someone else other than ourselves; we can only relate pieces of ourselves as they relate to the story, our PART in the story, that we're trying to tell. Love this.

37:42 it is entirely possible to earn a living as an actor in New York and Los Angeles doing Sag background work. the same cannot be said in Georgia because they do not have Sag protected Background jobs yet.
