Of course, if your nation is attacked, you have to defend it. One could argue that in some instamces a war is started to prevent or overthrow a cruel dictator who is killing their own people, but that is few and far between. It is a gray area. But most wars are not like that and, even if this is the case, the attacking nation(s) often go beyond this.

If Biden was a fool with the Afghanistan withdrawal, it was bc he carried out Trump's foolish plan, which was to withdraw U.S. troops from there in Feb., 2020 with no backup plan to evacuate those who wanted to leave before the Taliban took back the country, which Trump told them they could after the election he expected to win, but didn't. Trump made that deal behind the Afghan govt's back & when they learned he'd promised the country back to the Taliban, their leader left the country & their army disbanded. After taking office, Biden's only choice was to keep U.S. troops in harm's way to fight the Taliban alone or to send them home as promised, which is what he chose to do.
