Can someone help with the move after 32-backsway? Half of the time it just doesn't work at all, instead it's simple df2 comes what is coming out. And when i actually make it work right - it doesn't connect like 7 time out of 10. I have no idea, why it is so inconsistent, so now i usually use 1+2 after the backsway instead, but may be someone had encountered similar problem and solved it?
Nice work man! Still learning Paul, floating in between Eliminator and Garyu currently. Finding Back Sway into Deep Dive tricky on my PS5 DualSense to try some of these new combos. I don't want to blame the tools just for my bad execution but thinking about a new pad or possibly even leverless or stick, would they help do you think? The DualSense just feels kind of mushy and clumsy so wondering if I'm missing out
It's not the pad... trust me. I play on PS4 dualshock pad and can play with PS5 pad pretty seamlessly. Just practice your combos, some days I drop a lot of combos and realize I'm not pressing my inputs with conviction, so I press harder. That usually does the trick.
I've been playing with Claudio since I bought the game and I'm ready to learn a new character. Is Paul a good candidate? I want a fun and easy (not broken) character.
Paul is classic, fundamental Tekken. He got buffed this patch but he's not broken IMO. He's one of those "easy to learn, hard to master" type characters where the skill ceiling is as high as the amount of time you put into the character. Give him a shot and if you don't like him, you at least learned how to play against him a little bit.
@@assassinonprozac I would argue that he is easy. As a paul main myself I would say that he is very punishable and his poke game is weak compared to other characters. Hits hard and is fun to play but without good fundamentals he won't carry you like victor, eddy, azucena or even feng for example.

There is no real strategy like old good days. Only air combos that can cut half life at once.. Nah... Fun to watch, but as old skool guy, I prefer more the Tekken 3 / 4 era..
Wish I didn’t get a misinput df2 everytime I go for the deep dive combo. I can never land it consistently so I’m probably going to stick to the original combo routes tbh

Back sway, then quickly transition to "deep dive" with diagonal down forward, while holding diagonal down forward then do 1, 2

No, but he had good reads on his opponent to get counter hits. On top of that having a good sense of where the wall is and knowing high damage combos

It has the best oki out of all options so let's just say it got its purpose now

It’s only 3-5 damage more if you do the deep dive extension after backsway.
