How far out do you have your line with dipsy divers size 1? in 160 feet of water or is 168 feet out for 60 feet down as far as it goes for a size 1 dispy diver?
Low divers are around 2:1, high divers are more around 3:1 on the settings we run. So typically if we have low divers at 100 out, its getting 50 or so feet down.
I grew up in Wisconsin 40 yrs ago and recall there was alot of concern about dioxin/PCBs in the great lakes. Can you comment on the water quality today? I've heard the zebra muscles cleaned up the lakes but are there still concerns over chemical contamination in the fish?
As far as the lake goes, it has been clearing considerably over the past decades. I won’t speak to the possibility of contamination as it is possible in any wild game but we have enjoyed the fish and have had no problems.

We enjoy them. I would say depends on time of the year, and the great lake you are fishing. Fish taste phenomenal out of Lake Superior.
