I enjoyed the wedding of Crown Prince Frederick and Crown Princess Mary very much. I have watched it more than 10 times. She is real princess and was nervous on her wedding day. Those people who has nothing nice to say, please leave her alone. She is a very interesting person and long live the Danish Royal Family. She and Crown Prince Frederick deserve happiness with their beautiful children.
I loveeeed this wedding!! It was incredibly romantic, the way he looked at her and how he cried when he saw her coming in, it was so emotional and she looked absolutely beautiful and regal! Loved it!
BEAUTIFUL!!! The Danish Monarchy knows how to combine traditional things with a modern touch! Teally well styled, classic, almost trancedental music!!
So proud to be Australian. Mary is just stunning.
Beautiful couple, beautiful hymns
Beautiful wedding. They are ADORABLE! - Best Royal wedding ever! :-)
The most tasteful of all the royal weddings with in a century and of the time. Perfect, the flowers are incredible and whom ever planned this new what they were doing presentation and color. I like the unpretentious attitudes. They know they are of the 21st century.
Legkedvesebb fennségeim.Az egész család.Boldog szerelmes emberek,csodás gyerekek.Mesébe illő!!!
Lots of love to Denmark's Crown Princess, her family, and to Denmark, from Australia. :) It is beautiful.
At the same time it must be absolutely wonderful and yet strange, suddenly to witness ones sister to become crown-princess of a country they probably never heard of before.. Bet they are proud
Of course, they know about Denmark. Queen Mary's siblings are educated.
Beautiful music, wedding, and most of all Beautiful couple.
Wow, I missed the Queen's blowing a kiss to the couple. That was quite refreshing. I really like how affectionate the Danish royal family seems.
The music/song that opens this video is beautiful.
She is a beautiful bride
Just want to clarify that SnickleFritz79 does not represent all Americans. Also how did a wedding video turn into a fight about which country's citizens work more? Anyway I love this couple! Mary and Frederik are so in love and their wedding was absolutely gorgeous! :)
Lovely and beautiful, - whatever the title...!
The trumpet music played as Fred and Mary leave the church is Widor's "Toccata."
Organ actually
the music is indeed incredibly beautiful.......
what was the name of the song?
Widor - toccata
Bride is absolutely beautiful , very spectacular wedding !!!
They we sitting to dare it: to kiss. we the people we waiting to see the kiss at the balcon. Frederik is a hard core King to be . And Mary is a nice and plain girl to be our future queen with the glamours and the perfect way to be a good wife and the queen to be rigtht next to Frederik X. God bless them both. My King and Queen to be.
You are right it is hard to tell without knowing them!I have a very different impression of them though, only time tell.
I'd love to know what music this is at the begining, if anyone knows? I think it's a setting of the Prayer of St. Francis. It's vaguely familiar. I'm a classical musician, and it's cool to hear "new" classical music like this used in high-profile settings like this. Thanks!
Zadok the Priest is a British Coronation anthem ,written by George Frederik Handel for the Coronation of George 2nd Handel also wrote called Music for the Royal Fireworks, for a firework display on the River Thames to celebrate the King's birthday. Handel's most famous work is "The Messiah" He knew his Bible very well and it only took him 3 weeks to write it. It was first performed in Dublin.
recessional; Charles-Marie Widor (1845-1937): Toccata 5
Organ symphony played by Flemming Dreisig.
@Asxhmoula i think the high nervious mary was there, my own wedding for me i try to keep calm but its imposible i wish someone advice me in the morning took a pill to relax and stay a way from crying and ruined my makeover jaja, i think she was super serenity but to do this you need to be very strong i think...
Oh, so many horses! I love them:P
How many years does their relationship count before they got married?
I'm wondering how Mary learnt Danish, but leaving in Denmark it can't have been very difficult for her, i guess.
Mary and CP Frederik met during the 2000 olympics in Sidney.
So 4 years before they married.
Mary took lessons of course.
Danish is said to be a very difficult language to learn.
What is wrong with living in the sky and be something els then us ? Why should all be down to earth ? If we all where that - the would be no magic - or inspiration left. And we would die of bordom
@acivilcampaign then i think u should see the swedish crown princess wedding.. she is real, tho i dont know about her husband. ( i dont follow them that much) But she is down to earth and a normal person. :) strong hearted woman.
Im danish and i agree ab mary and fred. perfect! im so glad he found a down to earth woman to take over one day in his companionship. :) mary means ALOT for danes! I think there are a few thrones in europe that stick out more than others. :)
And I love how the Queen of Denmark is so down-to-earth and real, blowing a tender kiss to the newlywed couple. Not like Queen Elizabeth II on the wedding of Charles and Diana... as much as I respect her as a queen, she just looked pissed for most of the time when she should not have been! I mean, your own son is getting married, BE HAPPY!
does anyone know the name of the music played while they are departing from the church? Ilove it. Thanks!
Widor’s toccata from 5th symphony
It's not only you. Usually I don't judge a book by its cover by joakim looks like a douche while frederik is very down to earth and a nice guy
Prince Joachim was going through hell in those years - his wife was cheating on him - so don't judge him.
Yeah,& how often do such incidents occur throughout Europe as opposed to throughout America?! Just before you start in with the sarcasm! I did say SOME Americans, not ALL Americans!
What's with the ridiculously long train?
Knappa22 much too long. Looked like a separate entity. Must have been very heavy to pull along.
Just why do some Americans feel the need to mock the traditional ways of Europe?! A touch of jealousy maybe! At least we Europeans aren't marauding all over the place shooting guns indiscriminately just 'cause someone looks at you.
Pure envy ...... just ignore them.....
And for their lack of royalty, they have to invent their own: the king of rock - homecoming kings and queens.....
No.
no national anthemof denmark? they should have national anthem for royal weddings
The royal anthem - which is the national anthem played at royal occasions - was played at the balcony scene.
As the head of the church of England she can not attend these types of functions.
It's cute when they are leaving the church. They turn and bow to the Queen and she blows them a kiss!!
I keep coming back to look at these posting of this wedding. This is by far the most beautifully presented Royal wedding ever and by far the most tasteful. Does anyone know the name and composer of the first piece in this clip? Stunningly beautiful. The recessional is a very famous piece, but I can't remember who the composer is either. A Brit I think.
Zadok the priest was written by George Friedrich Handel for the Coronation of George 2nd It is used in every British Coronation ceremony. Handel was born jn Halle, Germany, but emigrated to Britain
They are beautiful couple and their children are so cute.
I'll watch them over and over again I l
Love them over and over again they are so sweet
Beautiful music at this wedding!
I love Princess Mary's wedding dress.
her style and grace is not topped by any other princess in europe. kate middleton go home!
I found my answer; Palle Mikkelborg (f. 1941): 'Simple Prayer', arranged for the Royal Wedding for solo trumpet, harp, soprano and choir.
Helen Davies Mikkelborg, harp
Palle Mikkelborg, trumpet
The Copenhagen Boys' Choir
@SnickleFritz79 This is true because alot of people from Republican countries see it from your point of view. But in saying that, you have to look at the countries that still have their monarchies. They are usually seen as great places to live, low crime rates, cleaner living, better social system like healthcare and pensions etc...I think it holds government to some accountability knowing that there is an office, although powerless, that is seen and held in a higher position than theirs.
did you ever find out the name of the trumpet piece? It is beautiful And the one following?
Is anyone else glad Frederick is the Crown Prince and not Joaquim? Or is it just me?
Prince Joachim would make a great king as well as Prince Frederik.
He is a much better speaker than his older brother.
Beautiful couple! Love them :-)
I just LOVE their wedding and I don't care about the comparisons to the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana saying that the wedding of Prince Frederik and Mary is not as extravagant... WHO CARES! Frederik and Mary's wedding is much more interesting to watch: it's less pretentious, less stuffy, and it is much more "real"; there is a happy and romantic ambiance to this wedding, unlike the wedding of Charles and Diana, which was only important because of Diana, the beautiful angel.
In her TV documentary in January this year Mary talked about "My Frederik"and her eyes shone with love. Frederik has spoken many times about the miracle which took place on the 16th September 2000 , which he describes as a million to one chance , when he met the love of his life . In his documentary in 2021 Frederik talks about how his wife completes him in every way He has said over and over again how much he loves her.He is always buying her flowers. They still hold hands , and are always smiling at each other . It is sad that Princess never met her Prince Charming , unlike Princess Mary .
@@sheilanixon913, well said.
this wedding is what inspired the movie THE PRINCE AND ME
de donde son estos principes o reyes, y cuanto tiempo tiene de su bodo, hacen una hermosa pareja y tiene bonita familia
Son daneses
marriage is always wondrous, even if observed only from afar.
Love to read the comments... Wonder why most people have no clue.....THE OLDEST KINGDOM IN THE WORLD...........
Let's see your "proof".
The first historic king of Denmark was Gorm den Gamle - who ruled about 950.....
The present Queen, Margrethe 2. is a decendant of King Gorm.
I wish that Crown Princess Mary would persuade Crown Prince Frederik to colour rinse his hair, and to eithrer dye his beard or shave it off. They are a wonderful couple and it is sad that Prince Joachim and his family are clearly plotting against the Queen, Frederik and Mary , and their family. The nasty commenmts on Life for Life go back to 2005 , when Joachim met Marie. Clearly they think that if they cannot have the throne, that they would rather see Denmark become a Republic , than Frederik become King.. Hence their efforts to discredit The Queen, Frederik and Mary. To their millions of fans world-wide I say "" Pray for Queen Margrethe and CP Frederik and Mary. They need our prayers.""
They are the King and the Queen of Denmark now. I sincerely hope that Denmark remains a monarchy.
She was the most beautiful bride after Diana.......I really like her. No other Princess can be compared. Just Diana. Even when they are so different. But Mary has this glamour when she appears. And she has a damn good taste in fashion.
`in the movie, Crown prince , Prince Edvard of Denmark fell for Miss Paige Morgan from Winsconsin USA
I've noticed something odd about them too. but regarding the flower's thing, my opinion is that every bride in her wedding day wants that everything is perfect, especially if you are royal bride, and the pressure on her on that day was incredible...
in the movie,
Prince Edvard (Denmark)= Prince Frederick
Miss Paige Morgan (USA) = Miss Mary
the movie is the same year as the royal couple got married
yeah, Maxima's dress was beautiful, but her performance took off in a church with all High guests placed on kinda plastic chairs, while in Danmark ALL was matching!!
@acivilcampaign
In Europe, we belive that all Americans are totally hilarious.
Morganatic marriage
Get a grip...thousands of years ago America wasn't a barren wasteland, there were people living there with myriad languages and cultures just like everywhere else. The nonsense about America not yet being discovered is utter racist bullshit!
lol :-p
you're right - I once saw one just a bit longer pulling out of Paddington Station!!
What's the name of the song in the begging with the trumpet?
Thank You :)
What is the name of the exit music?
Erik Lee that’s the Toccata (the famous one) by Widor
She was beautiful indeed, but I must say the best wedding dress was that of CrownPrincess Maxima, made by Valentino, it was the best I've ever seen. Talking about splendour, Diana is the winner, she was so radiant that day!!!!
The Queen looks like Bette Davis when she was older, doesn't she? Remarkable similarity, glasses and all.
@claypoint3 more than that; at no time do I see her "sharing" the moment. There is little if any eye contact with the bridesmaid(ladies in red) & what little there is; there is no smiling or even small exchanges. The waving at the entrance; she seems impatient with having to do that. It could be she feels out of her element but I sense a haughtiness that is prevalent in self-centered people. I also sense a seasoned player who has captured the heart of a little boy.
