Thank you, Some one made the comment that we should still obey the sabbath law.But I responded by saying that Jesus is our rest and is our Sabbath.

Thank you pastor guzik, I feel like this really was the missing piece of the puzzle that I needed. A simple concept but hard to accept that we are really free from the law. Praise the lord

my mouth dropped when I recognized the 'legalists' he was talking about LOL. I actually spent 3 years studying with them, but praise be to God for leading me out of their institution (which they refer to as the truth) and leading me into Jesus' (the LEGIT way, the truth, and the life) arms

Romans 7:1-4 is a parable of a believer in a covenant, if you enter a new contract and lack commitment, and go back to the old you break the new contract whose promise is void.

I'm enjoying your study. But isn't there a way I can study from your old videos? The visuals are so much easier for ME to study 😢 from 😢

I agree with you, that I’d much rather watch & hear than to sit and listen only.

Thank you. Your teaching has really helped me get a better understanding of these concepts. I picked up on your statement that the law cannot lead us into a deeper relationship with God. Could you also say when your born again "the law has no power to condemn you" since we are now under God's grace? That concept seems important to me.

You have that concept 100% correct. When we come to Jesus, the Law can no longer condemn is because Jesus paid for our sins. Whatever penalty would have been laid on us was transferred to Jesus, so we are innocent before God. Praise the Lord that you understand that correctly.

I’m still confused. I’m new to Christ so bear with me.
    “Being delivered from the Law”
Is that saying we don’t have to follow the Law He created? Because to follow the Spirit, don’t you have to follow the law? Or is Paul saying we have a little more leniency when we mess by being “delivered from it” but we still should follow it.

      Hi Wolfman,
      The main idea is this:
      1. The Jews were called to relate to God according to the Law of the Old Testament, but they could never be considered "justified/righteous" before God because they couldn't/wouldn't keep the Laws of God. The "Law" was/is good, but no one keeps the Law, therefore, they are guilty.
      2. Instead, we are justified by faith in Jesus, who DID keep the Law. There fore we have been delivered from having to approach God through works, and we can have a relationship with God through faith.
May I suggest that you read the Enduring Word commentary on Romans 7?
I think that you will find it helpful.
      Blessings in Jesus!
