I found your video because I wanted to know about tubing in the Comal River, but damn if I don't want to move from FL to New Braunfels! Only 20 years until retirement :-D
#1 reason not to move to NB, because we're over crowded as it is yet people keep pilling in. The traffic is getting horrendous and it's a pain in the ass to get around anywhere.
Hopefully, criticism is allowed. I've been in Texas many times then after a couple of decades I went back just before the food coloring was added to the goldfish bowl. I didn't like it anymore, it was like LA/Tejas, I even got kicked out of Landa Park for swimming in the deep end, ruined memories of back in the 1960's. Who ever is running the show there needs some help. The cops are just crawling and tons of people parking on whole streets marked off as No Parking right in front of the law, do they do that so they can harass anyone they chose? Or $20 a vehicle to park, I had to pay for two, and the bathrooms are permanently locked, with a kiosk that make no sense, the Park Ranger told me after a millennial breezed through the process, he said, "See you have to push the dirtiest button first.", out of 40 buttons. I was taking care of long distance troubleshooting and just wanted to relax, not there obviously. I asked a bum and he knew where to go, under that old railroad trestle, it is deep enough just above the low dam. Even the Rio Grande Valley was crowded and hostile unlike ole Texas. My favorite was on the highway in the fast lane, I would leave just a couple of car lengths between the car ahead and between Austin and New Braunfels at least fifteen people squeezed in. Rules rules rules, and I head it is illegal to flip people off! I guess I deserve it trying to blend in, but I'm not riding a half a car behind at over 80mph! One time I drove to Bandera just to get away from it and swim, that was the same story, including the paid for cattle tag. The wife recently showed me a picture of floating down the Guadalupe, wow ya can't even see the water for all the people. Sure the world is getting smaller, I noticed flying back and forth across the country, it is amazing.
Thanks for watching Hunter. We'll do a strictly BBQ episode sometime soon. I did feature Granzins' excellent meat market in our recent South Walnut video.

Gruene Hall alone is reason to move to New Braunfels
We go all the time! Sometimes just to sit outside in their "backyard" when the weather is nice
