They are testing the line and training the drivers on the new route ,checking the signals and traffic lights and timing between changes ,lots of technical details to iron out before they open it to the public,it's the first time these drivers will have driven on the North side and people are not used to seeing the Luas on the north side ,i drove a taxi in Dublin city for 4 years and it was the most stressful job ever ,with junkies stepping out in the road out of their heads,people walking with fones stuck to their ears and fucking cyclists flying around up one way streets on footpaths ,absolute nightmare ,so these are just some of the reasons they are going slow and taking time
