  • A little demonstration of the handwriting feature of Symphony Pro 5. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks, and have found it fantastic. It’s not perfect, and I still will send it to Sibelius as XML for presentation layout of sheets, but it’s great for handwriting. Well worth the purchase #symphonypro #manuscript

Just a note: I’m not responding to questions generally on here. Most questions are better answered by visiting the developers website

    Hello Adrian,
I have a quesition about this app. If you write chord symbols and you transpose all of the sheet to another tonality are the chords changes as well? This is really important for me because I always have to transpose.

Still happy with it? Or have you opted for another alternative now?

Yes; I’m still using it. It’s workikg great. I just finished an 8 minute 5 part work for some imortant work and it was great. I exported it into Sibelius for score layout; and copy and fleshing out some parts is still easier in Sibelius due to the keyboard, but the input of this just feels much more natural.

@@AdrianVeale Thanks for the reply bro! Thats really great to hear. I tried staff pad on a surface pro for a half an hour once and couldn't get it to write a bar of crochets! Was SP5 problematic in any way regarding getting it to recognize the way you inputted the notes?

@Roan McCormick For me, StaffPad is the best music handwriting app, super fast and easy in term of auto score layout. I’ve got the Surface Pro just for this app only (hoping the developer will port it to iPad in future as I hate windows).
I’ve also got Touch Notation (best for iOS, super fast), Symphony Pro, MusicJot, Komp and Notion (the worst ever, at least for me).

@Fatshark FPV, not tried yet as I don’t use it with logic pro.

@@homevn2002 so what do you think is the way to go on the iPad Pro? I would Pax the extra Money on staffpad but dont know in it is worth it...
