As a German player, i have 2 things about my playstyle 1. I personally didnt expand and rushes democracy for a huge economy late game, i also shrunk my size by releasing cities that gave burden under puppet which i will invade once its time to boost myself. Also beating a coalition is funny 2. While thats my playstyle, typical Germany would go bad, dont trust them much. But if im expanding, huge expensive and capable military and raiding is important for my survivial, untill i formed eveything. At that point, i stopped expanding and started playing democratic
As a German player, youre goddamn right! (I invaded Russia for money, resources and 3 cities, the rest i ended up releasing them/not taking them at all)
Misconceptions: France doesn’t beat spain. China can’t resource hog because it hardly has any important resources anyway. USA typically isn’t rank 1 because the player doesn’t know how to play democracy. France is in no way the best coloniser.

I’d say my most played country in public is most likely Türkiye bc they are insanely OP and have a nice formable

I do Democratic Japan, and purely with economy get to #4 or #6 without any expanding. Navy goes brrr, sunk 3 million Chinese into the sea.
