Sketchbook Tour After the Mental Hospital

- This video is a sketchbook tour and commentary. It is full of artistic depictions of different struggles and joys; many having to do with dissociative identity disorder, mental illness, and autism. Any statements made are solely representative of my PERSONAL experiences. They are not meant to criticize/dictate anyone else’s - but others certainly may be able to relate to them (and I hope that they can, with the intention of fostering community and encouragement).

This sketchbook lasted from July 5th, 2023 to September 25th, 2023. It saw me move states and settle into a new home, while I started truly accepting the way that my brain works.
This being my second visual diary to be shared here on RUclips, I decided to take a more playful approach and have some fun. I enjoyed doing it!

Hopefully this isn't a rude or stupid question but i was wondering if you ever show Mike or Vincent your drawings of them ? (Your sketchbook makes me want to draw btw and that's super cool that you got to meet your fav band!!!)
Hahaha yes, I do! This is an excellent question.
It’s a little different than *showing* them, especially because Mike also draws (and sometimes we end up accidentally working on something together).
Vincent can’t draw, no matter how hard he tries. But he likes looking at his pictures. He find himself to be very handsome lol
When it comes to drawings of Mike and Vincent, they both like seeing themselves on the pages since they can’t do that in a mirror.

If you’re comfortable sharing, what kind of stuff do you have in your mental illnesses binder? Is it for venting or coping skills or-?
Great question! (I should have explained in the video ;-; but my thoughts get scattered from excitement.)
The “mental illness” binder holds all of my homework and papers from outpatient psychiatric care. For example; it has pictures of my brain, my styles of distorted thinking, and my sensory profile.

Well, he’s always been presented as my OC. I used to sorta think that was all he was, before I knew about DID.
I think we’re both ready to let it out on here that he is in fact a “brain buddy.”

In this sketchbook, I started using watercolor. I think that’s what is shown the most in this video. But I also often use colored pencil.
When u talk about the book are we able to read it I’m just wondering because there is a it if talk about it and I want to know if it is a book and if it is where can I read it? Also love all of the art it’s so good!
