    Loved them in Birmingham 1960 - Still Great - looking at the suits, ties and haircuts some of these guys may have been there then ;-)

      Saw them play Blackpool Central pier in the 80s. Fabulous band - me and my dad had a load of their vinyl.

    To jest kaaaaawał dobrej muzyki , kłaniają się lata50 te, 60te , tego się słucha z przyjemnością , ale już jest nas coraz mniej , lubiących tę muzykę .

    Nice to see Bob Kaper...and the DSCB he sound her the same as "with Oscar Klein, Arie Lighardt, Bob Van Oven...I live about 50 kms about Müllheim (with two "l") near Lörrach, Freiburg/Breisgau. Best wishes from France (Elsass) Jo "Gernot" Luttringer (I was born in Freiburg/Breisgau in 1943)

    Top-notch rendition of one of my favorites! I found a lot to try to emulate in each of the solos, as well as the overall arrangement. What's the background of the group's name. Did they start when they were in college together?

      The band was formed in Netherlands in 1945 by a group of young people who had to practice in secret since jazz music was banned by the Nazi's. This is the same band, with new members being added as the years go on. Pretty cool, huh?

      I don't think this arrangement calls for a drum solo, just the brass instruments get one in this song.
