    Mo’Nique finally confronts Oprah Winfrey about the backstabbing, blacklisting, and betrayal. Like many, Mo’Nique grew up idolizing Oprah Winfrey. She was successful, generous, and extremely powerful. When Mo’Nique’s career took off and she got the chance to work closely with Oprah, they became good friends. It was a dream come true! But that dream didn’t last long. Mo’Nique was blacklisted from Hollywood after saying ‘no’ to some powerful Hollywood producers like Lee Daniels. Why didn't Oprah defend her?
    We discovered that Oprah and Monique’s feud wasn’t just professional, but deeply personal. Mo’Nique had confided in Oprah about her abusive childhood, thinking she could trust her. But a couple months later Oprah had Mo’Nique’s abusive family on her talk show without Mo’Niques permission.
    Fed up of people in positions of power taking advantage of her Mo’Nique decided to fight back and speak out no matter what.

      Let’s talk about how Oprah secretly sponsored 65,000 people, out of whom several Professors and all others emerged successful.

      @TEWMUCH Год назад +51

      @Taro Maro Amy Schumer is a "comedian" /comical actor who is largely seen as not that funny, but she represents a certain demographic of white women. So this person was saying ppl like her: Actors who aren't super talented, yet get a buzz around their name. They usually happen to be white. And these ppl get privileges like being paid top dollar. She's not even very seasoned. Whereas Monique is a legit stand up comedian that has been working and earning her fame and supporters for probably 30 years now. But in America, its common for black women to not be given accolades, privileges, and top dollar earning potential, even when they have worked to have this right.
      Just for more information: Monique claimed she was told she was offered that little because she needed to be able to fill Madison Square gardens. (An arena). And she has done that. So there was no objective reason why they couldn't pay her more when she can perform as well as those girls when it comes to selling tickets. This is why she said she was being discriminated againt.

      My whole career has been learning to know who to trust, and at the very bottom of that list is other black people, specifically black women, in my field. They smile in your face but will do all they can to supress and undermine you, talk crap about you behind your back, condescend you, use you to elevate themselves or at the very least feel better about themselves. I don't know where anyone gets it twisted that black people working together in an industry look out for each other. They don't. They're out for themselves, just like everyone else. And crying about it saying "I'd of looked or for you" just come off as entitled. You might get a lucky bone here and there but most Black people in Hollywood are very careful of who they associate with and are seen with. You can be having a hot streak and post a pic hanging with others having a hot moment and two weeks later act like you barely know them, if in some way it doesn't serve you or the association harms you in some way. When I stopped thinking other black women were going to be there for me and looked out for myself, I soared. Monique's too old to be this disillusioned.

      Blacks don’t get it. It’s called unity. Other ethnic groups are united and extend favourtism to their own. That’s been the game since ancient Egypt. When you go to Mexico or a Chinese restaurant, they have two menus: one for members and one for others. Blacks go to the banks for a loan from a white institution, [IF] they secure a loan, they are going to get a horrible interest rate compared to a white person with the same credit scoring. When blacks get their real estate appraised, it would be undervalued compared to a white person. Black-Americans are the only group that don’t own enough of anything to give out favourtism to their kind. There are FDIC insured black banks but blacks don’t want to use them so there is never enough money in these banks to take on black venture capital projects. The community is un-united and unorganized, period. Amy Schumer (איימי שומר) is an Ashkenazi - she’s family. Mo'nique is not. Also, we live in a divided society. White Netflix streamers want to watch their content just like Black-Americans, Indians, Nigerians, Chinese and South Africans want to watch their content. The U.S. population is 339m of which 61.6% is white. White in the U.S. is tricky. The U.S. census includes Arabia, North Africans, Turkey, people from the Caucasia and Persian territories 🇬🇪🇦🇲🇮🇷🇦🇫🇦🇿 into the fold of Whiteness. This is strategic to bolster their numbers to continue the pretense of being the majority. If y’all paid more attention to politics and law y’all would’ve known this. You’re probably wondering what this have to do with Mo'nique and Netflix. We’ll get out your TLC Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes paper and pencil 📝 so we can do some math. The comedy and look of Amy Schumer (איימי שומר) appeals to whites and to some Asians, Latinos and blacks. So she stands to secure 70% viewership of just the U.S. population alone. So they gave her $11m for that. ※Racism ain’t dead in the U.S. and whites and some Asians people will skip right over a black face on Netflix. So Mo'nique stands to secure the black population which is but 13.6% of the 339m total. And of course you’ll have some Latinos and some Asian that will get her humor. So 13.6% of Amy Schumer’s (איימי שומר) $11m is $1.496m. Then as a business negotiator you’re going to lowball at 500,000 to see where you can top off at. That’s the reality. First thing first, females don’t have much appeal outside of being sexualized like a Beyoncé. Men, however, have more reach outside of sexualized industries (athleticism, comedy, movies, etc.) Then when you add race in the racial climate we live in, black women have even less appeal. Eddie Murphy and the likes can secure a white audience more than a black female comedian. While Seinfeld (סיינפלד) secure more than Eddie. It’s all about ratings.

      It’s not about “funnny”. It’s about drawing a market. Schumer was a much much larger commercial draw then. (Despite being less funny. Schumer sucks. But regardless still a much bigger draw). Don’t think Monique can use the top female comedian of the time as a fair comparison for pay.

    Thank you, Sister Monique, for standing up for yourself and black people who are underpaid all over the world. Monique inspires hope and the confidence to confront those who don't value what we bring to the table. Let Oprah speak for herself. Bravo!

    Honestly, if Amy Schumer gets an 11 million dollar deal, then everyone else in the world who isn't even a comedian should get 20.

      Monique’s husband is the one who destroyed her career not Oprah ! He tried to pimp several directors & producers for more money by having her refuse to do press for movies after her wages had already been negotiated & agreed upon. Because she went along w that fuckery & had such a problematic husband she lost a lot of work & was offered a lot less because people in the business do not want to deal w that headache. Her & her open marriage need to seek lots of help!

    This is very triggering I have experienced this myself in my field of work and it’s heartbreaking 💔 and tough! I’m proud of Mo’Nique for standing 10 toes down on her truth! One thing for sure everybody can’t be lying 🤥! Mo’Nique, Katt, Dave Chappelle, what would they gain? I believe them!!
