Lets look at the facts. Chelsea: didn't get 3 penalties. Barcelona: Ballack didn't get sent off for slapping iniesta, abidal got sent off for no reason, they didn't get a clear penalty on Henry in the 1st leg, got denied a clear goal scoring chance in 1st leg, didn't get a penalty for ballack handball inside the box in the second leg.
In the first leg that was not a pen for Henry, and that goal was very clearly offside. Ballack's handball didn't affect play at all, Abidal was sent off for making a clear foul and was lucky to not be sent off in the first half, and Ballack's slap was literally nothing to be sent off for. I do say as a chelsea fan there was some unfair refereeing towards barca in the first half, but it does not even remotely compare to what we experienced at Stamford bridge.
I actually feel so bad for this ref. Although he did fuck up the ucl in 2009, It is just unfair for him to be hated like this. He didn’t have VAR so he couldn’t really be sure If it really happened or not. He also needs some help from the linesmen.
