Did you find that one or the other was better to hold the truck down when going up or down hill at 45 degrees. Looking for the minimum amount of weight to use for a trail truck.

I'm confused. My FCX24 K5 doesn't have bearings in the portals, but it does have the metal gears. Did some earlier versions also not come with bearings? I know some had plastic portal gears, but I guess they may be also updated the bushings to bearings too..... That sucks. Doesn't seem right or fair.

My K5 has the large bearing where the shaft enter the portal box and metal gears, but the other inside are small brass bushings. I want to put all bearings now knowing this but I am glad at least the one large one is there. Now I need to know where else it has or doesn't have bearings... I heard it has plastic ring and pinion so I need to swap that out.... I want all metal and bearings and as much brass as possible down low and anything aluminum higher... Eliminate as much plastic as possible I just like it the way I dont care the louder noise or trade off

Also wanted to mention I have these Treal outer portals in front (also inners and steering) and the stock blazer wheels rub ... Luckily I also have a TRx4m High chevy with very similar looking wheels just not beadlocked that I was able to swap wheels between the two and avoided having to change wheels yet. But I plan to do some nice wheels on the k5 soon anyway. I really like the K5 it is my favorite the 24th/18th models axial traxxas or fms
