You need to pay the winners the equivalent of what winners in the US get. Surely, your producers can afford that.

No you don't need. 5000$ there, is almost equal with 20000$ în US.

@@lenardpap7976 Just do a comparison of what you can buy with $5,000 in South Africa and $20,000 in the US and you will see that you will get not even half as much stuff in South Africa. For example, I could get 20,000 pounds of white rice for $20,000 here in California and could get only 7,600 pounds of white rice for $5,000 in South Africa. Another example, I pay about $200 for monthly utilities on my modest 953 sq. ft. home. $20,000 would pay my utilities for 100 months. In South Africa, equivalent utilities would cost about $103.60 per month so $5,000 would pay my utilities for only 48 months.

@@lenardpap7976 To address the inequality in prize amounts, one approach could be for the game show organizers to conduct a thorough assessment of the cost of living and purchasing power in each country where the show is aired. Based on this analysis, they could adjust the prize amounts accordingly to ensure fairness and equity across regions. Additionally, engaging with local stakeholders and community representatives could provide valuable insights into what constitutes a fair and meaningful prize in each context.

It's not the producers that pay, it's the sponsors. The sponsors pay what they can afford.
In South Africa, KFC and The Standard Bank were the sponsors, and the jackpot was R75000, which is ± $4000.
Also, cost of living is higher in the US than in RSA. $20k is ± R370000 in RSA.
PS... This clip is from FFGhana.

@@asanodwala8015 I understand that the cost of living is cheaper than in the US, but not 5 times cheaper. Surely, the sponsors can dip into their profits and provide a more equitable prize.
