Planting Our First Self-Grafted High Density Apple Orchard

Join us as we plant our very first apple orchard with 100 trees that we grafted ourselves! For this exciting project we used a variety of fruit wood grafted onto Bud 9 rootstock, chosen for their cold hardiness to withstand Montana's climate.
In this video, we share our experience with grafting, discuss the challenges of moving the trees from the greenhouse to the orchard, and how we navigate the unpredictable cold snaps.
