@@seppeonal9335 Yep, No one in my area works on ths 3000gt. It seems to be a problem everywhere. I watched a video on how to do it. The video link is pictured in the video. It's a all day job.
Awesome video! I currently drive a 6th generation Accord with a V6, nice motor but nothing beats the 6G72 sound and I'm thinking once I move to Texas for my new job, going to find myself an automatic SL and possibly have this done!
Trans is doing good. There’s no slip in the clutches. You can feel the shift in the clutches. I highly recommend the shift kit. It’s like having paddles (Subaru) but with a gas pedal. 🤣 The link should be in my playlist 3000gt
The Translab Shift Kit decreases shift times by using harder springs in the valve body, as well as replacing a few internal check balls. It doesn't change the RPMs where the shift occurs (the transmission computer controls that), it just changes how fast/hard it shifts to the next gear. The stock shifts are relatively slow, smooth, and comfortable, while the shift kit gives you two spring sets: one for quick/crisp shifts that remain pretty comfortable (for street use), or one that makes shifts very fast but jarring/uncomfortable (for track use). I ran the street set for a few years in my SL and really liked it; the car should have come that way from the factory! Shifts were quick and sporty without sacrificing drivability or comfort. The PWR switch still functions as usual (holds gears longer, shifts at higher RPMs, and slightly higher line pressure (slightly faster shift speeds)) so you keep all the stock functionality with sportier shifts. I don't know what he's talking about with using his foot to shift (I'm assuming he lifts slightly when he wants it to shift), the trans should drive just like stock with this kit installed, just with faster shift speeds. Hope that helps :)
I was taking it easy on the transmission when I did this Video. If you hit the gas pedal hard it will spin the tires a bit when you hit second.
thx for the upload, doing this to my 95 R/T
"Sweet" You won't regret it...EBay F4A33 shift Kit. Get the kit that comes with the drill bits.
@@StacyTheRooster awesome thx for the info!!! ima need the kit, soon getting stage 3 heads with brian crower cams!
@@StacyTheRooster did you inatall it yourself? How hard is it? My skill level is 2/5 in cars 😅.

I never saw that link to the other video you talked about. Hows your trans holding up?

when driving conservatively, at 70 mph, what RPM are you at?
3,000 rpm
can you explain what this does?

@@v2mmxst10 yes. Thank you
it raises hydraulic shifting pressure , for a gear change , changes are perhaps twice as quick , this trans needs it.
How hard is it to install all of it?
It took me two full days. Good luck
Why does it seem like it’s iffy when it shifts? Almost like it’s gonna slip? Is that just me? Lmfao
It takes time to teach yourself how to shift with the gas pedal. It literally shifts with a 1/4 inch release of the gas pedal. It's just crazy fast.
