As a bodyman of 31yrs I’ll tell you how that color match system works with the guitar and that car…or any color. That camera called the “Prophet” works like this….it doesn’t give you the exact color match but rather the closest known existing colors that are already available on the market. Once it gives you that closest know color, you mix that color and if it’s off a little bit…..either that paint representative, or the bodyshop painter, has to spend a couple hours tinting that best known color match until it actually matches the color of that guitar. If this makes any sense to everyone, that’s how this whole deal works. It’s not magic. But you do eventually get the results you want IF you have folks on hand that can tint colors really well. It’s really all up to them👍
