I’ve always been a massive fan of your videos and your cautiousness around advertising local spots but recently your hunting etiquette has gone out the window. Why the sudden change?
I was in there on Friday and definitely wouldn’t say it’s thrashed in there compared to most spots similar distance walking. Certainly more pressure in the last few years thanks to EWL publicity but thankfully still some of the least foot traffic in that area out of majority of the Waioeka. Would hate to see access closed for us all from increased traffic, vehicle break ins, gates not closed, people disrespecting access and poaching like the rest of the gorge. Just my thoughts mate, have always thoroughly enjoyed your vids but just a little gutted seeing and hearing spots we’ve worked hard to discover on the tube.
@@antonriefler9287 I get what your saying mate, but to be honest I would not worry about it too much, access through there is limited, gotta ask to drive or ride through ,and they have a short list of whos aloud through in or on vehicles, because of disrespect before,,,, They have camera's set up..just for the dick heads. , the gorge has always been thrashed mate, even worse now with the use of thermals,,

Thanks for watching,, I keep the sling in my pouch, for when I have to use both my hands for climbing or whatever. I dont keep a sling on my rifle because when bush hunting I need the rifle in my hand ready to use , no good having it slung over your shoulder when a deer runs off in front of you through the forest, lose the chance for a shot,,and the only time my rifle is loaded closed bolt, is when Im ready to shoot.I dont walk around through the forest with a loaded rifle,, nothing wrong with my safety mate, Thanks again for watching😁

Hi from the Rockies -- are you using a 308? Thanks
Hi, ...a browning 7m08, thanks for watching👍👍
@@nzmeateater love the simplicity of your hunts-- I solo in the Rockies 54 as well. Keep going till the end. 7 08 is all you need good for elk out here as well.
@@ziruk-king4466I would love to see that country where you are, ,Yea its a good all round calibar, 308 is a good aswell. Thanks again mate👍👍
@@nzmeateater I have a 308 I like getting very close to my game more sporting and challenging. Bowhunter as well -- but when you need to put meat in freezer the rifle is the no messing around. Come on over I will show you some good hunts the traditional way the right way. Lol
@@ziruk-king4466 Yea I would love to come over there, thanks,,just the little issue of funds, We just keep buying lotto tickets and dream about it.lol
true blue hunting there ''m8'' no going on about this and that, just into it tumeke.... you remind me of my uncle Tuiti Meihana
Hey thanks mate, glad you liked it😁👍
I’ve always been a massive fan of your videos and your cautiousness around advertising local spots but recently your hunting etiquette has gone out the window. Why the sudden change?
What do you mean? cant hide the name on the hut mate? This place gets thrashed already
Dont worry about it mate, not many people will go there, and when they do they see its been thrashed, lol.
@@antonriefler9287 I get what your saying mate, but to be honest I would not worry about it too much, access through there is limited, gotta ask to drive or ride through ,and they have a short list of whos aloud through in or on vehicles, because of disrespect before,,,, They have camera's set up..just for the dick heads. , the gorge has always been thrashed mate, even worse now with the use of thermals,,
Weres all the videos hope you ok
Thanks for asking,, yea all good, my back surgery has healed well,, just been catching up on work on the farm which didnt get done while I was recovering from surgery,, go for a hunt soon,👍
Tuuuuu meke e hoa
Hey thanks for watching👍
mean video chur
Thanks Archie😊
Nice work, but man get a rifle sling...your safety us poor
Thanks for watching,, I keep the sling in my pouch, for when I have to use both my hands for climbing or whatever. I dont keep a sling on my rifle because when bush hunting I need the rifle in my hand ready to use , no good having it slung over your shoulder when a deer runs off in front of you through the forest, lose the chance for a shot,,and the only time my rifle is loaded closed bolt, is when Im ready to shoot.I dont walk around through the forest with a loaded rifle,, nothing wrong with my safety mate, Thanks again for watching😁
@nzmeateater hi ya doing, fair enough my man, I'm just after doing a gun safety course, so I'm a bit hyper vigilant. There very challenging conditions you hunt!! Well done 👏
@@ronanogrady7298Thanks,, good luck with your hunting👍
Great vid mate, you live in a blessed part of the world, good to see someone drinking straight from a mountain stream instead of filtering it 1st.
Thanks for watching,, yep best water to drink,,,,we are lucky 👍👍
Tooo much im from waioweka brou. Next time might want to hit up steve woods(woodsy) get him to fly you right in to the back hills.. good you got a feed though. Im fortunate i cracked me a boaris & a venny 3wks ago up home in the gorge. Best of luck pal hope to bump into ya next time you pop in to opotiki.
Thanks 👍, I got a few vids from up in the heads, cool country up there, helis are way to expensive now though., have to walk in,. Thanks for watching😁
