It sucks that the owner had to go through all that but man that build turned out awesome. Great work.

Yea man a lot of shady people out there! I’m glad I was able to help on this one but it really was a headache starting from a bunch of parts and figuring out everything that was missing.

Great work as always! I assume the new owner is handling the electrics (gauges, signals, etc.)? Also, what size were the tires? Those Heidenaus look a lot bigger than the Bridgestone 90/90 & 110/90 I have on mine!

I would love to see you build a trike, or a cafe racer trike.

Great work again! I am also building a scrambler out of a neglegted R80RT. May I ask what you cleaned all the gunk with on the outside of the final drive? What do you use in general to clean the metal parts that turned almost black through years of neglegt? Thanks!

For the really stubborn caked on grease/road grime I use gasoline to do the initial cleaning (as long as it’s a bare metal part and not something that is painted). It strips it right off. Then I like to use purple power degreaser and a wire brush or scuff pad to do the final cleaning.

It's a repuploaded video but you did such a good job on the bike. That I didn't mind watching again 👍
🤔 Call me crazy but I think a twin turbo version would be awesome. Put a small turbo mounted above esch cylinder. The turbos could be air cooled similar to how the cylinders are air cooled.

The original video had some issues so I had to reupload. Twin turbos would be awesome looking on an airhead!
I think there is someone that did it before so the blueprint is out there.

@@BayCityRestorations I was joking about the re-upload....I would care either way....Yeah a couple small turbos with some nice looking stainless steel welded pipes. It looks like there'd be plenty of room if they were above & slightly forward of the cylinders. They'd kinda match the bike 🆚 a big turbo hanging off one side of a bike.

Have to keep it all symmetrical with twins Forsure!

      Those shocks were 420mm
