You need one more smaller O RING on the white nylon piston in front. There is a grove for the O ring. That smaller O ring may have disintegrated ( disappeared ) due to wear and tear. That is the one stopping the water flow completely when the trigger is release. 5.39 on his right hand. Hi from Malaysia.

Likely a problem with the spring or lubrication of the trigger(so isn't moving part inside when you release the trigger). Leaking is just that, it shouldn't affect it starting/stopping the spray.

@@Vone_WorldClass yeah thats one of the reason. The other reason if the gun has a worn out spring too. Or the housing of the rubber seal is damage. Even if the rubber is good but the housing is damage you may need an over size rubber seal.
I'm from the Philippines. Maybe you can get a spare on your local hardware or autosupply just bring the o ring and they will get the exact size if they have one.

Over the time, if you use it frequently the rubber is getting thin or damage. If its damage it will cause the water to leak to the pressure gun.
