- Using a "Krampus" theme by Schumann (orig. "Knecht Ruprecht") and tunes from well-known Christmas carols, I wove together a bizarre tapestry of creepy and spooky holiday musical colors. The Hauptwerk samples heard here are made from the organ living in the Black Church from Transylvania (now Brasov, Romania), by Sonus Paradisi.

Absolutely agree Jerry, what do you think of my idea (expressed independantly on this posting) for Aaron to consider applying his unique performance to silent films? I'd be here as a music freak, but oh, wouldn't it be so great? Rattling the windows with the thunderous raw of pedals whilst Lon Chaney captivates the screen?
Funny, interesting piece, well-presented. Thanks!
Love the hat with the bouncing snowball and the sweater. Oh, the music 🎶 was great, too.😊
Fantastisch 🙏🏼😊
😂Good 1 , very Funny 😅, I love it !!!!
Fabulous Aaron, a true showpiece played with such darkness. Just right for this time of year.
Sounds amazing! 👍
The minor and tension chords sure throw in creepy feelings to a normally cheerfully bright song.😮😱😬
Indeed! The dark version of Christmas tunes
I want to sing those carols in these keys!
Here comes Santa Clause little kid... bwahahahahaaa.. So much awesomeness! (btw..I think I've driven down that same snow-packed highway)
Thanks, Brooks!!
Loving this Aaron. Have you tried playing something along these lines at midnight mass yet? 🤣
I notice the X-Keys strip too ‘cause I got some of them too like Jerry and you.
Midnight Mass is the best time to unveil this!
Aaron, have you thought of applying your skills to silent films? You could get hold of say "Dr Jekyl & Mr Hyde", make appropriate agreements, and have an absolute ball applying your own soundtrack. I think that would be fantastic. I'd come for the music, but inherently be following a storyline that serves only to augment the experience.
I improvised a silent film accompaniment last year for the first time, and it was a lot of fun. I'm planning to do one again this year in June locally here in Southern California. Thanks for the compliments!
Like that music! But 4 candles lit?
2 reasons for the candles...
1. Krampus told me to
2. Needed more lighting for the cameras
3. There are only 2 reasons
Glad you enjoyed it!
In humor, Aaron, I am sorry, but this video may be a bit of "way too much fun".
I'm not sure if my somewhat conservative small village church congregation may accept this as a purely proper musical "gathering prelude". Plus we may get a few complaints concerning the minor snow storm amongst the pews. Hee hee.
I think Ebeneezer would approve of this prelude, as it's the one piece every year that brings a smile to his face as he sits in the shadowy back corner of the church. 😂
