i think you are so blown away by this because it's a laser projector. Laser is just like oled, it is fast enough to actually turn off the light per pixel if the pixel is black in the image and the precision of the light is much tighter, meaning the light in one light pixel doesn't bleed as much into the next pixel, which in turn creates the same or a similar impression as an OLED tv vs a led tv.
I just reviewed Capsule II, thinking of reviewing Capsule 3 too... I would say that these Nebula projectors are highly portable: smallest in its class!
Looks awesome. Just what I was waiting for. Will order and try for myself. Is there no way to insert a sd card or usb drive? Because if I take it somewhere with no internet/wifi, I would prefer to play the videos directly on the projector instead of taking another device with me, just for the playback? //Nevermind, I see you answered it. The USB-C port accept external storage. Now I am just curious if I can somehow connect a power bank and an external drive.
The Max version has a type A port I wish this did. But you need to use a Type-c to type A adapter. Yea I test my PD 2.0 external battery and it works. 45W min and it will then automatically use the top brightness setting thinking it is plugged in to beat the set the brightness to battery mode or it will eat up the battery bank quickly I found.
Can it be run from a powerbank for extended runtime hours? If positive, will it only run the projector or will it recharge the battery at the same time? I have a Celluon Picobit since years ago and that function is fantastic
Yes I used a PD power bank. You need at least 45W power delivery and it will charge the internal battery and power it as if it was running from the wall socket. It will automatically use the top brightness setting as it thinks it’s plugged in so it burned through my 99Wh battery really quick at 45W
Great review, I like this portable projector but I went for the XGIMI Halo Plus due to way more features like the 900 Lumens, the casting from cell phones and tablets and google voice and up to 200 inches of viewing. Would love to see a review of both of them side by side.
So the 900 lumens is definitely an advantage. However, the Capsule 3 also has Google Voice support. Also, while I only have the Capsule Max for now, I am able to mirror all my android and apple devices on it as long as they have the respective screen casting option. I would assume the Capsule 3 has not taken away this setting. And him projecting on the wall of his house is likely almost 200 inches. Again, just with the Capsule Max, I was able to get a decent image on the entire back wall of a 2-story house, so I can't imagine you can't do the same thing with the 3 and also expect a brighter and crisper image. It's also smaller than the Halo+. The XGIMI line does look interesting though so I'm not taking anything away from your purchase. Just giving you my personal feedback.
Can we have the audio from the capsule 3 output to an external bluetooth speaker? Say I go camping and would like to use my car speakers for audio output instead of the built-in speakers?
I love mine but sucks that we still can’t do Netflix natively. I gave up up the half assed side loading and just use a Fire Stick to plug in. And extra step I wish I didn’t have to do but… 🤷🏽♂️

hello chris🙂 just wondering.. the 2hrs runtime you're talking is about the battery life right? how about using it straight for 8hours while connected to a power wall outlet? is it possible?
I'd be wary of this one's. Especially the cheap unbranded ones. Most of those use Light source lumens when making their claims. 1000 light source lumens in Iso lumens is only about 27. There are several projectors on Amazon and eBay around £150, that claim 7000+ Lumens. I treat these the same as portable Powerbanks that claim to be 1.5Million mAh
Thanks for watching, it turned out to be better than I though just a shame there is no Netflix in play store showing as not supported but there is a work around for it now.

Great review, like always. One thing though, Netflix runs using the Nebula Manager app on all Nebula projectors? Is the capsule 3 different? I have 4 different Nebula projectors, and it seems like that has always been the case.
@@MrIanJepson If you are able to control the ambient light in your RV, and will mainly be watching at night then the Capsule 2 would be a great option if you're thinking of either of these.
