They say that ETIAS good for 3 years. It's really closer to 2 years. They say to get your ETIAS authorization before booking your trip. A lot of people like booking their trip close to a year in advance before everything like hotels and flights get sold out.

Hello there, thank you for your video. So for now ETIAS has not been launched yet or is ineffective. So I need a transit visa as a transit in London for a flight connection and fly through Austria?
Hello! It will depend on your nationality. Some countries don't require a visa or any travel document for now, while others do. You can check your specific requirements on our webpage, just by selecting where are you from and where are you going. Safe travels!
I find it really bizarre that it is repeatedly delayed. Apparently France and Belgium are not ready. This is surprising given these are two highly developed countries. I suspect more to this then we are being told. Shame openness is lacking in many EU institutions
When will this start please we need to know! Everything indicates in 2025 but I don’t see the application online. If someone knows please write a comment. Thanks
Hello! According to the EU official website: "No, you do not need an ETIAS travel authorisation if you only remain in the international transit area. However, you must have a valid travel authorisation if you leave this area and enter the territory of any of the European countries requiring ETIAS".
Hi! Yes, starting from 2022, U.S. citizens traveling to Barcelona, Spain, and other Schengen countries are required to apply for the ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) before their trip. The ETIAS is an online authorization that allows you to travel to the Schengen Area for short stays (up to 90 days within a 180-day period): bmrk.short.gy/zOu2hb To ensure a smooth journey, we recommend applying for your ETIAS well in advance of your travel date. If you have any questions or need assistance with the application process, feel free to ask. Safe travels to Barcelona!
