    yesterday, my gsce results came out and when i tell you, I was shocked, I really was. Working hard every night, more than I ever did in the past, I woke up to see Bs Cs and maybe two As, it was horrifying. I've never been the sort of student who studied 24/7 yet with minimal studying, I managed to top my class everytime. Then, suddenly I start studying for the main exam, olevels, and I see that. My heart literally broke, I've never felt that sort of terror before. Now, for AS level, I need to go through this properly and have a comeback. Tho I'll still never know where did it all went wrong.

      If you were top of the class everytime, then you straight up choked your exams. You gotta learn how to handle pressure.

      You probably had a horrible attitude where you thought you were the top of your class in maths for example, and you didn't need to put as much effort in your revision as English. You smashed the Maths unit tests but get an awful grade in the exam (this can be in any subject you got an awful grade in). This might be because you practiced more on the stuff you knew or didn't implement enough spaced repetition in your study. This is why you shouldn't study more that max 3-4 hours a day. You also studied every night. At this time of the day your brain has minimal brain power to concentrate and seep the information to your memory. You should rather sleep early and study early in the morning. If you get late for school, you should go 30 mins before it starts and study for 20 mins in a peaceful area. Here you should do some Corbett Maths 5 a day. Sorry for my waffling. Anyway best of luck and hope you improve.

    I got 8s and 7s and 6s in my gcses but i really didn’t try that hard… Year 12 I messed up with EDB in my ucas, since august i’ve been a top 5% student i’d say but i’ve been getting better and better
    i’ve been on nofap solid since october
    been going tuition 3-4 times a week since Jan
    Making schedules for the day
    staying organised and clean so I can focus
    making sure i reduce factors that could cause sensory overload… meaning I make sure I feel clean when studying, my hands are moisturised, my ears are clean etc. so I can maximise focus
    for me mental resilience is a big thing, we may face difficulties during our studies but we have to stay focused and disciplined no matter what
    hopefully remaining consistent will mean I am able to achieve the grades I want because of rn I believe I am doing the top 1% of things

      Hi! i got a 7 in language and a 9 in literature and this is what i did! for both i used a website called Seneca to revise key information. then i would look at past papers and plan my answer for each question, and if i had time i would write an answer and get my teacher to mark it! i also asked my teacher for help a lot to make sure i understood everything and that showed my commitment which meant she gave me extra resources. hope this helps :)

    Hey bro, im making flashcards for science and I was wondering for gcse to get 9s do i need to make flashcards for every single information in textbook or just do the keypoints?

    • @shiggs33
      @shiggs33  Год назад +2

      Usually the textbook has a lot of useless info, so I go to the syllabus, check through each point, and find the information in the textbook or any other resource that links to that point in the syllabus. If smth is not in the syllabus I usually ignore it
