It's very funny how a russian interviewer asks two (basically russian) players questions in english, they answer (in english) and then the translator (russian as well) translates it all to russian. And then the players say some lines in russian, which the translator translates back to english. Very funny, especially if you know both languages as well
Прошу прощения, а кто придумал, что девушка справа - переводчица?! Она спит с кем-то из чинуш ФИДЕ или как?! Это ж тихий ужас, все участники конференции явно испытывают испанский стыд, когда она открывает рот... А на других конференциях она просто иногда говорит, что не поняла и не может перевести.
For all those confused about in how many languages can Anish speak in, well the answer is nobody knows..why? let me give his family background -- His grandmother is Indian, his father is Nepali, his mother is Russian , his wife is Georgian and he spent his childhood in Japan.. so the possible number is 5. Edit-- Yeah .. missed the most obvious one , he speaks English, and his son is dutch🙃so the number could be 7.Thanks for mentioning it in the comments.
Я думаю, что английский является более универсальным языком, и, поскольку шахматы стали более популярными в Индии, английский язык является наиболее подходящим

It is not ok to hate on the translator, FIDE hired her. Its not like she woke up one day and decided to translate chess interviews.
