I don't know why people are saying that this game was bad I thought it was good. I acknowledge the health system and cheap deaths but the story was great
For me, this is how I would break down the top strengths and weaknesses for the story and gameplay. *Story/Lore/Cinematics Strengths:* 4.) Excellent cutscene quality and voice acting 3.) Some fantastic creature designs, which are some of my favorite additions to RE (Rasklapanje, Lepotica, Iluzja, Haos, and Ustanak) and a return of zombies (although I would prefer the classic T-Virus zombies, with Crimson Heads and Lickers, more) 2.) The neat use of the overlapping narratives, with Ada Wong as the character that finally ties it all together 1.) The character arcs for protagonists, mainly Sherry/Jake and Chris/Piers *Story/Lore/Cinematics Problems:* 3.) The generic or underdeveloped goals/motivations for the villains. 2.) Some ridiculous monsters that do not fit RE (mainly Simmons and Carla's mutated forms) 1.) The C-Virus itself was so OP and had virtually no unique/consistent strengths and weaknesses, creating plot-holes and practically cheapening the uniqueness of all the previous viruses. *Gameplay Strengths:* 6.) Improved controls compared to RE5 5.) Improved online multiplayer and partner system compared to 5 (mostly according to what I heard, since I never played coop myself with another person) and allowing Ada Wong's campaign to be single player 4.) Mercenaries Mode 3.) Puzzles making a welcomed comeback 2.) The graphics, environments, and music are great 1.) Some enjoyable boss fights *Gameplay Problems:* 8.) Some boss fights feeling like monotonous bullet-sponges that don't even let you know for sure whether you are even doing real damage. 7.) Some issues with inventory system and resource generation system, like being forced to carry all your guns at once, not having room for all ammo types that spawn as a result, being unable to drop or hand items over to partners, etc. 6.) Incredibly awkward method of gaining skill points and equipping unlocked abilities. 5.) Melee attacks are too OP, especially in Leon and Ada's campaign, which are meant to emulate a realistic and gritty survival horror feel. At least Sherry and Jake have an excuse for being able to fight monsters with their bare hands, since they are superhuman. 4.) Many mediocre vehicle driving mini-games and excessive overblown set-pieces, that take me out of the game's atmosphere and make the protagonists look like indestructible demigods. 3.) Excessive QTEs and cheap, poorly designed instant death obstacle courses. 2.) Over half the gameplay having you fight generic J'avo enemies in firefights, making this feel like a third-person Call of Duty, rather than RE. 1.) Linear mindless "shooting gallery-like" levels that are devoid of any free and open exploration and investigation, which RE is known for and would have helped build the survival horror feel in Leon/Ada campaigns and better allowed the player to feel chased by Ustanak in Jake's campaign (like how Nemesis worked in RE3).
Dude RE6 was the shit! it actually took a LOng time to beat and the plots were fucking sick, the moves, the controlling of characters! How could you NOT like it?!?!
Yeah, I don't understand why this game gets so much hate. I loved the gameplay variety with the connecting campaigns. I loved the story. The characters were pretty likeable too. I thought this game blew RE5 out of the water.

It all comes down to personal opinion and I can understand that people love RE4 more than 5 and/or 6, but for me it is the other way around. And again, personal opinion: I don't really think RE4 needs a remake and capcom should focus on RE9 or a remake/sequel of Dino Crisis. But, if they decide to remake RE4 then I wouldn't hesitate to buy it, nor that I would complain about it.

Why do so many people keep bashing this great game. I loved the story and the gameplay was top notch, maybe some of you guys suck at the game but it doesn't mean it was bad. Anyways Carla was such a great antagonist in this game, she was like the Heath Ledger of the resident evil series :D
Gotta say I love this game, got my copy earlier than expected and I'm loving every minute of it. Definitely worth getting, great game, great story and great characters :)

Also sorry for the delayed response, was my birthday and all that. I think Leons are easier to find than Chris and Jakes emblems to be the easiest in general. I just found them all myself with no guide help.
Interesting you point that out Nemesis was created to do heavy assault missions while the T-103 series which is the first massed produced tyrant variant is used for urban missions since its the tyrant that looks most human and can blind in to crowds easier the reason Umbrella controls this tyrant more than they do Nemesis is to control and examine how the mission is going and can choose its actions and targets unlike Nemesis who only eliminates listed targets
Hmm.. I wouldnt necessarily call that an ability though. I would think a better example would be how Chris starts out with 3 weapons while everyone else has two. Although, thats irrelevant once every character gets more weapons themselves. Well, Chris and Pier weapons are military grade A weapons, while Leons are old fashioned. Like Leons Ak to Chris' Special Tactic Assualt Rifle. Or Leons Shotgun to Chris' Assault Shotgun. Thats one thing that Chris & Piers have that exceed the others, weapons.
Achievement List was recently released looks pretty straight forward 15G a chapter and at the end of the game for completion you have 300G off completing the campaign (doesnt include other achievements u may get)
yea..maybe they were...its like a moment 22, how to maintain the fanbase and to get new fans without changing that much.Well they created Nemesis who eats ammo and at the same time you can make your own ammo by mixing A+B+C ammo.I dont know..at least i think that it had that true Resi feel and i did take it to heart.They released CVX and RE0 afterwards and at least in RE0 you had to conserve ammo (on Hard),so that was the true last survival horror resi IMO. RE0 is a true masterpiece. Underrated.
Leon wasnt all over the enire city though. Plus Jill survived the city too and she was involved in the mansion in RE 1 so you can bet Chris would have survived anyway. He even traveled from a island to arctic (i think) to find claire. Thats alot considering Leon has only been 2 games

I think Chris would win and I got into the series in Resident Evil 4. Chris overpowered Leon in the trailer from what I saw, and Leon's character wasn't the same after 4 for some reason. In the degeneration movie he seemed rather cold and serious, Chris stayed in character from what I know. He was awesome in RE5. Yeah, Chris would most likely win.

Leons story definitely seems like the best one, but i still have to give the others a chance too. I was pretty interested in Jakes campaign as well. As Leon i just entered the church, still wondering what this chick is going to reveal.

Leon has always been the calm one with a rational thinking process after RE2.... I think enough has been said to claim that Leon is a more experienced agent than Chris is. And they portray it nicely due to the fact that Chris has to go up against human carriers
Thanks, finally hit that legal age. I actually thought Jakes campaign was easy too, emblems and story. But recently ive actually stopped playing RE6 and hopped on Assassins Creed.
Actually im probably going to get it today. Was going to get it on release, but had a few things i needed to pay for. Im sure it is beast i look forward to revealing the story.
RE2 and CVX were definitely the best games the series had to offer, with RE4 right behind them. RE5 was just pure gun action but at least RE6 tried to balance it out a bit more. Even if it eventually dissolved into action, trying is more than what RE5 did. But that reminds me of what i was saying before. The RE series started getting more action packed in general back with RE3 which is considered the golden age of the series. Perhaps they always had the unfortunate intention of going action??

Health was scarcer and each individual pill only restores one tiny bit of health. It's way more tense that way opposed to pausing the game midfight and choose one of 10 vials of herbs from inventory in RE4 and 5

If you haven't played the second one and have a console that it is out on I recommend getting it and finding out first hand. Ha ha. Even if he was a clone they would still call him his son, as long as someone believes he is. Hell, Alice and Wesker could be related for all we know. We only know what the writers let us know. That is why I don't believe Wesker is dead. Not until someone comes out and says it with indefinate proof.

well as it has turned out both Leon and Chris cant finish what they are supposed to. Im quite dissapointed at those 2 guys, since Leon almost always gets a free Rocket launcher at the end by a woman. not much unfortunately you get an extra mercenary map if u pre order it from best buy gamestop or amazon each retailer offers a different map i preordered from amazon because the map it offered looked the coolest but other than the map theres nothing else if u buy the special edition for like 120$ u get resident evil 4 and resident evil code veronica however i personally dont want to spend over 100$ for one new video game and 2 old ones ive already played and beaten

I actually thought Jakes campaign was easy too, emblems and story. But recently ive actually stopped playing RE6 and hopped on Assassins Creed.
i like leons story the best cause he is fighting actual zombies

Actually im probably going to get it today. Was going to get it on release, but had a few things i needed to pay for. Im sure it is beast i look forward to revealing the story.
RE2 and CVX were definitely the best games the series had to offer, with RE4 right behind them. RE5 was just pure gun action but at least RE6 tried to balance it out a bit more. Even if it eventually dissolved into action, trying is more than what RE5 did.
But that reminds me of what i was saying before. The RE series started getting more action packed in general back with RE3 which is considered the golden age of the series. Perhaps they always had the unfortunate intention of going action??
I think the woman in the trailer is Ada Wong after the face operation:) finally she achieved the virus probe on the end of RE 4:)...who knows.lol.

Well, for me its taking some time. I dont like to look online to find things like this. I got all the emblems from Chris but after that i cant seem to find anything. Leons emblems seem especially tricky no?

was a good game, just had too much stuff put into it. The constant quicktime events and the cheap deaths let it down. As did the clusterfuck of a health system
yea true, leons was easily the best. Only thing i didnt like was simmons, guy just wouldnt die
the health system and ways to heal was good. since its more on survival and health management
Health was scarcer and each individual pill only restores one tiny bit of health. It's way more tense that way opposed to pausing the game midfight and choose one of 10 vials of herbs from inventory in RE4 and 5
So ada is the enemy in this game? makes sense cause she took the virus at the end of resident evil 4. and is "wesker jr" supposed to be hunk? thats what ive heard but idk

After the incident in which Chris's squad was whipped out something happened and the BSAA lost track of him. 6 months later, Piers finds him drunk in a foreign bar with no recollection of him or the deceased unit. Love to see Ada fight the copycat. lol Only one Wong will win!

If you haven't played the second one and have a console that it is out on I recommend getting it and finding out first hand. Ha ha. They were originally for Umbrella but Umbrella sent people to take the virus from Birkin by force, I can not remember why they felt that was necessary though. Wesker and Birkin were friends though and were Marcus's proteges and killed him together. If you can't play the old games go to Resident Evil Wiki it can explain better than I can ha ha

Even if he was a clone they would still call him his son, as long as someone believes he is. Hell, Alice and Wesker could be related for all we know. We only know what the writers let us know. That is why I don't believe Wesker is dead. Not until someone comes out and says it with indefinate proof.

well as it has turned out both Leon and Chris cant finish what they are supposed to. Im quite dissapointed at those 2 guys, since Leon almost always gets a free Rocket launcher at the end by a woman. And Chris? Well he has Sheva up his ass all the time. If it was Barry, he would end the baddies without help.He`s the true hero. And BTW, Leon should cut his ridiculous hair, as his sight vision is slightly down on the right side. What if he dies if a zombie lunges to his right?Thank hair for that?!

Youre to Adas part already? Damn, im still playing through Jakes campaign with Chris' campaign left. Currently in China. Each campaign is 5 chapters but when you add that all up its a pretty decent sized game actually; 20 chapters. About the same length as a Uncharted game.
If they dont fix the super screen taring im gonna have to sadly pass on this game. 2 months left i really hope they fix it

not much unfortunately you get an extra mercenary map if u pre order it from best buy gamestop or amazon each retailer offers a different map i preordered from amazon because the map it offered looked the coolest but other than the map theres nothing else if u buy the special edition for like 120$ u get resident evil 4 and resident evil code veronica however i personally dont want to spend over 100$ for one new video game and 2 old ones ive already played and beaten

Zombies were just some by product mistake in my opinon and things like Nemsis were there few successes. Seen walkthroughs of all games love the characters lik Chris and leon equally cant decide between the two and its important through there experience that they should know how to fight these B.O.W.s not just zombie
