Modern 4 Stroke Scooters just dont cut it with me, same with mopeds, Can you imagine Garelli Tiger or Fantic Cab with a 4 stroke engine, absurd!
Im sure there were some lovely scooters and it's great to showcase them, I really do, but think it would have much better meeting somewhere where there were no other road users, like in the middle of a field with more space! I was there today and got trapped in it all trying to park up in that carpark. There was literally no space to drive, people centimetres away from cars trying to manoeuvre their way through, clouds of exhaust fumes suffocating everyone, people not moving out of the way, absolute chaos!
Sorry you had a bad experience Katie. It is only once a year though and there are other car parks in Knaresborough. There’s even two/three hour free parking on the streets.
It could have done with just ONE person letting cars know what was happening BEFORE they actually came down towards the car park , but instead a constant stream of cars kept coming in only to realise they couldn't park anywhere, so then having to do a 360 to get back out! With other cars behind them, pedestrians & scooters buzzing around , all while doing the 360 on an incline. 👎🏻

To be honest you should have been told. I was there and sorry you couldn’t get out. It was an amazing day for us Scooterists the first major get together in 2 years.
Ahh what a shame for you usually the other way round loads of inconsiderate cars users blocking bikes in. 😅
