The pacing was perfect and visually it was interesting from the get-go, with some really wild and strange ideas thrown in to keep it interesting. Its hard to appreciate all the little details when the whole point of the film is a high octane adventure, thats the only real criticism I have lol

Grew up watching all the mad max’s an never thought I’d get to see a new one. And was absolutely blown away by fury road at the cinema. Went to see it multiple times and every time that engine roars as the title screen kicks in I got goosebumps. Masterpiece of a movie

The Mad Max franchise chose a good time to return. Fresh off the Fallout mania after the show's awesome debut, I can see many fans wanting to watch the franchise that inspired it so heavily.
I saw this film in theaters back in the day with my Dad, in 2D (Dad doesn't like 3D), I was a teenager and and I still like it as an adult, I never got to see Furiosa in the theaters. Rockatansky was mentioned all the way back in the original.

I bought the 4k Blu-ray and I can say I was surprised and not surprised due to the strict "no nudity" censorship in my country. I was really surprised though that you mentioned that they cg a dress in. It was a short scene and I honestly thought they did 2 different shots for that scene.
I just watched Fury Road 2 weeks ago and its the best action movie ive ever seen. I grew up on the original Mad Max movies but Fury Road was just amazing from start to finish. The moment where it showed those guys swaying on those poles from side to side to the same beat of the music gave me goosebumps. Great complicated villain, awesome soundtrack and the best action scenes ive ever seen and some great fun characters. Hardy was great as Max and Furiosa is one of the very few badass women i could watch a movie about just her. Its a shame the new movie bombed. Fury Road is a masterpiece and is the most action packed movie ive ever seen.

What he didn't get was how it was shot. Miller would take hours to set up a shot then do a single take of mere seconds. Hardy couldn't get into the character at that pace and lost focus. It went on for months and he never knew where he was in the story was.

Plus it just makes more sense cuz obviously yeah he remembers her.
Fun bit of extra triva (and obligatory spoiler warning.) The shot at the climax of the move with the Doof Wagon and other vehicles crashing into the War Rig at the mouth of the canyon was done almost entirely with practical effects and they had ONE chance to get it. If they biffed it, they would have no way of recreating it at that quality. They got it perfectly on a Phantom camera they rented especially for the shot and then enhanced it in post with the steering wheel and other small details.
At the beginning of your video you said, they couldn't Film in Australia or Irak, so they ended up filming in the Namib desert, which meant they didn't need much cgi for the landscape.

They got it perfectly on a Phantom camera they rented especially for the shot and then enhanced it in post with the steering wheel and other small details.

At the beginning of your video you said, they couldn't Film in Australia or Irak, so they ended up filming in the Namib desert, which meant they didn't need much cgi for the landscape.
The Gyro captain has been in all the movies, and I was wondering where he was.....oh. Oh dear.

I read somewhere that those bumps the war boys have aren’t tumors. They’re actually lymphoma, cancer of the lymph nodes. I can’t remember actually where I saw it, but it honestly could be tumors too 🤷♂️
