Two of the best banjo players ever, and lifelong friends.

That was from a show called "Hee Haw" that was on weekly in the 1970's and 80's. My grandparents watched it religiosly, I was too young to appreciate how talented the musicians on that show were at the time, but I do now. Roy Clark was a master of the Banjo, fiddle, and guitar, he is missed. RIP Roy! Great reaction! Music brings people together!

This is from the tv show, "Hee Haw." It was on for over 25 yrs. We were treated to this kind of stuff all the time. I LOVED watching Hee Haw! Comedy, Music & great singers each week. If l see episodes are on TV, l tape them & watch it later. It's still a great show & l still laugh at the corny jokes. More now than l did back then. I bet if you watched a show, you'd love it too!

Great reaction! If you want to hear the banjo almost literally talk check out Raymond Fairchild doing Woah Mule Woah. He was a world champion banjo picker. I met him several times growing up. He would perform nightly in a tourist spot of the time called Maggie Valley North Carolina. They would perform bluegrass, country, gospel and comedy routines. It's a shame that places like this have died out. Younger generations miss out on so much culture

Some people may be asking if Roy was just "good" on the banjo . Well, he was good enough to tour with Buck Trent and stand with him every step of the way on the banjo. Buck is a 2023 inductee in the Banjo HOF and was the inventor of the electric banjo.

Ahhh, Hee Haw! Kind of a goofy show, but funny in its own right and some damn fine music. Roy played guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, harmonica and probably others, he was incredibly talented. He died in 2018 I think at 83. You should check out some other videos for his guitar work. "Malaguena" comes to mind, look for a video where he does it on acoustic. Oh! And "Yesterday When I Was Young" - might make you tear up! He also had a beautiful singing voice.
Great reaction, wasn't expecting that early on a Sunday morning but I really enjoyed it. Hope to see more Roy Clark from you ✌️💜

    Can you stand it?❤
Nothing today is comparative to the entertainment that we grew up with!
A little bit of today's qualifies under talent but most of it is just alot of multiple effects crazily compiled/scrambled together, to keep busy a society of minds that have the attention spans of a chicken!
    😢
This was real entertainment and talent.
