What a fantastic idea for a video! I know the C5 & C6 are more capable cars, but I'll have that ZR-1 all day long. It's beautiful and strange and rare. I wish I had the money back in the 1990s to buy one. Not because it's rare, but because I just love it I think it's perfect! I'd never let it go and it would probably have 200,000 miles on it by now, haha. Thanks again for a great video.

Very well done, and from the perspective that interests me the most -- the Enthustiast. I wish the C6 car was manual but you didn't let that bother you or drag down the review. We can still infer the experience even when comparing it to the other cars. Excellent and unique video here.
Great comparison. The c5 z06 is a violent experience. The zr1 and base c6 are fast 💨 as well. The z06 gets up to speed with a cheetahs 🐆 pace. And then comes back to do it again. 😮
I cross shopped the C5Z and 2006-07 C6. The C5Z felt more raw and visceral and lighter, so I bought a 2004 Z16 like shown in the video. I sold the Z16 for a 2009 C6 Z06, which I don't regret although the C5Z was a great car throughout 8 years of ownership. I owned a 1990 L98 Vette 'vert back in the day, which was obviously no comparison to the ZR1.
Great video. Brings back some memories. My first corvette was a 1993 ZR-1. Similar to the ZedR-1 in your video. Similarly, my second corvette was a C5 ZO6, similar to the ZedO6 in the video. The C4 ZR-1 will always hold a special place for me. It was one for the generations in my mind
Out of those, I’d choose the Z06. Because I have a 1990 ZR1. And I’ve owned 3 C6’s! Never had a C5. And my ZR1, while it has 52K miles, hasn’t really held up well over 30+ years. It squeaks and rattles and feels like it is 1 or 2 power shifts away from exploding! lol. O don’t abuse it all because it feels fragile. Although of the 3, the C6 is the best all around car IMO. Performance of the C5 Z06 with a removable roof, modern amenities like Nav etc.
Thanks for this great comparison video. Always the love for all corvettes because of their special place in automotive history. The look of the corvette is completely unique. But if I have to choose I would go for the C4 ZR1 because of its beauty, uniqueness, power and just overall feel. Thanks again eh ! Frank from Montreal.
I own 1994 #415 ZR-1, and I noticed that out of these 3 you were only truly excited and happy in 1 of these, and it wasn't the 05 or the 06. I feel the same about my '94
If I could only pick one of those and stick with it as my sports car for life, then I would choose C6 for the newer styling, and that the inside feels unique and sporty, unlike the others. Plus that big ole Honkin’ 6.0 has tons of potential. If I had to pick right now though, assuming I’m gonna go through multiple sports cars in my life, then I go with C4 ZR1 in a heartbeat, because if it’s unique place in history and there’s just something exotic feeling about a C4 with 400 horsepower. I mean that is extremely serious for the early 90’s, more powerful and faster than the Ferrari Testarossa at the time. (And I say this as a former 2007 C6 Vette owner with 6 speed manual)
All 3 very nice, the C6 is best overall but $$ wise the C4Z & C5Z06 probably will eclipse it in value. I had an electron blue C5 I converted to a Grand Sport. Headers tune ,cold air intake,C6 18&19s w/ Z06 brakes & brake ducts for cooling. Grand Sport silver fender stripes & splashes of carbon fibre throughout. If I had to pick 1 I might lean to the C5Z. But its very close..

What happened to the seats in the C5? C4 had spectacular seats. It’s like GM just said, meh…seats are overrated. Give ‘em a milk crate.
