Great restoration, your build quality and attention to detail on the bodywork, paint, mechanicals, chassis, wheels/tyres etc are all fantastic, I’m looking forward to the next video with details on the interior. Subscribed.
Have to agree about that music choice! :-/ However, it doesn't take away from the fact you've done a fantastic and very tasteful build ...well done and thanks for showing it to us! 👍
Used the back lights for night rallies so you could see if you had to back up. Had to wire thru a relay from reverse to avoid having the police thinking they were to use on tailgaters.
Yesus... thats a great looking mini. Very neat restoration! The Mk 3 in its best apperence. Great design.... keepin that seventies look in a classy way👍. Best regards from Mikael in Sweden
@@edinburgh1578 my first car in 1978 was an Austin, I think they called it a super 7. It was white with the black roof, the Cooper colour scheme, it had the red and brocade Cooper interior, with the long but chrome gear lever and chrome window surrounds. I couldn't afford a real Cooper at the time so this was the next best thing. It took a bit finding because of the low numbers, which I didn't realise at the time.
Ditto the music. Just played over everything at way too high a volume. Do we get to hear the first start up? No! You need to see the light and ditch the junk music. Thoroughly ruined this vid.
Very nice mini ! He did a phenomenal job on the restoration I was wondering do you know anybody that has a mrk1 for sale or would you be interested in maybe selling yours
I hope you see this... im currently Mini Restoration in Nairobi KENYA. This is the closest to the outcome im looking for. Do you mind sharing the Color codes and tyre profiles you used? Much appreciated 🙏
Can I get some help restoring my 1975 mini cooper it was my first love and I got one recently that's in need of repairs to get it back to factory condition
Should have put in the second tank so you could claim Cooper S specs not a fake as this obviously is. Shame about the music as well - spoilt a good clip.
@@trogley1 I only took the 'claim' bit from the rather obvious 'Cooper S' badge adorning the boot lid. You have done an excellent job, the car looks magnificent. They're a great little bus, I learnt to drive in my Mum's "Mini Deluxe" - in Australia that's the 998cc model with wind up windows. They built them here for quite a few years. I wished we still had it, a car like yours would bring big money here.
Same colour as my dad had a genuine Cooper back in the 60s. Stunning build guys. Now for twin tanks to match the Cooper S badge.
P
The smile on the face driving back into the shop ...priceless.
Looks so good and quick.
Good job

That music though, oof.
Fantastic, only seeing the finished car I had no idea of how much work was done. nice work sir
Have to agree about that music choice! :-/

Nice little car man.
Well done!
Cracking rebuild guys, you should be very proud of this car.
Used the back lights for night rallies so you could see if you had to back up. Had to wire thru a relay from reverse to avoid having the police thinking they were to use on tailgaters.

Interesting roll cage configuration
beautiful

Great detail, right down the period " reverse light " lol!
Rear spot is very 'a la mode'. My favorite colour combo. nice job :)
In my eyes, that is exactly how a Mini should look.
Bold colour choice but it works.
I also love British racing green with a beige roof
Tweed grey with old English white roof. Factory colour for original 60s Minis.
@@edinburgh1578 That is the point, very few would be bold enough to choose grey.
Very rare.

Beautiful well done
Best car ever
It's ART!
Nice build 👍
I wanna hear the motor!!!
If you watch till the end 6.59 you’ll see the wheel arch’s fitted that keep the wheels inboard of the bodywork and make the car legal.
amazing work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great job !
Beautiful car , but it would have been nice to hear the engine instead of the music .
ruclips.net/video/rmPiHcm3CNM/видео.html
yeah, how many bloody times did he wanna see the light
Beautiful rebuild spoiled by the worst "music" imaginable!
super good
Lovely car, shite music, with the same tedious line throughout!
Where is the triple like button? Geewiz this is lovely! Top job. Greetings from South Africa.
Excellent, i noticed the wipers from a later mode park on the opposite side, maybe could have changed the panel , minus the holes
nice!
This is really awesome!!!! NICE
I think once all the welding is done and in primer, you have cracked it !
La MINI c'est une bioutifoule bagnole 🤗
I'm riding too, but it's a cool mini!
Well done. Looking to buy one.
nice car, would like to hear it instead of that sound,
Music on mute ahhhh that's better, nice work, my uncle gave his mk 1's' away(not to me!)
Good job the mechanical work is to a (much) higher standard than the camera, video editing, and choice of music.
Great video, even greater mute button.
Finishing ok brother

Part 2 when?
How much would something immaculate like this be worth?
You could probably get about 15000 pounds for it easily
What size wheels and arches please..?? And is the mini lowered or anything..? Perfect Stance, car looks fantastic..
Seen on the isle of white
Very nice mini ! He did a phenomenal job on the restoration I was wondering do you know anybody that has a mrk1 for sale or would you be interested in maybe selling yours
What's the spotlight on the back for? I've never seen those before. Looks cool though, that's a beautiful car.
Mk1 rally minis had a big reversing light there that looked similar. I imagine that's the look he's going for.
That's what we used back in the day!
I think the whole process takes 20 minutes only hahaha
if only!! 3 years....
Very nice job maybe change the light bulbs to more moden
like the retro look
What light was the guy singing about? The interior one? Cool video, amazing job, sir!
The reverse light!
Love those massive trumpets on the carbs, what hp has it got?
Hope you straightened up that squinty rear number plate at 2:47
Crap music Too loud, Could not watch
👍
I’m thinking of doing something similar to this but was wondering about how much it would roughly cost? (Not including the sandblasting and respray) 👍
Robert Horne 5-7k minimum
I hope you see this... im currently Mini Restoration in Nairobi KENYA. This is the closest to the outcome im looking for. Do you mind sharing the Color codes and tyre profiles you used? Much appreciated 🙏
It's tweed grey, a 60's MK1 Coope colour - replaced Smoke grey, which was slightly bluer
What a mindless racket to have to listen to, nice car.
😎👍
Lovely car. Awful music.
Awesome, what's the color name?

Lovely, is that dove grey with an oew roof - correcttiion I think it's tweed grey

Hi do you know the colour code of the grey colour you used? Cheers

Can I get some help restoring my 1975 mini cooper it was my first love and I got one recently that's in need of repairs to get it back to factory condition
Top job! can I have color code?why do i make one project and I'm trying to get a good tweed grey color.thanks.

roll cage across the rear
trogley1 thanks, what was the end bill?
Trogley1- what brand and code is the grey paint please? I am after the same finish for a repaint. Cheers.
I think it is BMC Dove Grey - standard Mini MK1 Cooper colour - correction its tweed grey - BMC code GR 4
Ask for it to be featured in forza horizon 4
Love the colour ! What is it called ?
tweed grey
@@trogley1 it's an amazing colour combination, is it a mini colour ?
yes but a 60's colour combo
Yep, agreed the colour looks fantastic and the white contrast roof sets it off nicely.
What did you use to seal all the seams?
upol brushable seam sealer
Black and silver number plates cannot be used after 1971!
Cars built before January 1973 which this was and was registered October 1973
Where did you buy the body panels from ?
somerford mini
I want one :(
Is it the Tweed grey ?
Hello - got one like for sale by any chance? x
Twin tanks?
No
Here we go again, ruined video by crap music, had to turn off
What size are those wheels??
6x10
What is your exhaust ?

Why do people insist on ruining a video with total shite music! Beautiful car but that crappy music!
Exactement toujours des musiques de merde :)
What is the name off the grey?
hi its tweed grey,BMC colour.
I was going to ask the same. Thanks. Really nice colour and build!
That music 😨
Oh dear god the music.. Why do youtubers do this !
What's the name of the color ?
Beautiful car......shitty song choice...
sorry i build cars, not so good on the computer just wanted to share
The car is awesome... The music to trash.....
Should of kept the colour original
Pity about the shite music. Had to switch off
Could do without the music, can I turn it off 😊
Why spend the money to cover the rear seat that no one will ever use?
acoow original rear seat,no money spent, glad that’s your qualm
That is not a Classic Mini it is 10 years to new
I think 46 years makes it a classic?
That music was bloody awful. I watched five seconds of the vid and turned it off. JUST.... BLOOODYYYY ....AAAAAWFUUUUL
Nice car, but what the hell is that bloody awful soundtrack??
music nul nul ????????
shame about the roll cage, and fat wheels though
each to there own!! i love theme didn't want to build a stock car
Should have put in the second tank so you could claim Cooper S specs not a fake as this obviously is. Shame about the music as well - spoilt a good clip.
it would take a lot more than twin tank to make it a cooper s, I'm not trying or want to make a cooper s, I've built a car the way i like it.
@@trogley1 I only took the 'claim' bit from the rather obvious 'Cooper S' badge adorning the boot lid. You have done an excellent job, the car looks magnificent. Nice video but what a bad soundtrack 😓👍
What the music????🤢🤢🤢🤢
you totally fooled me into thinking the terrible music had ended at 6:20.. but then you started it up again and I stopped watching.
Shite noise ruined a good rebuild.
Rubbish music spoils the video
