Farmers wife you did a fantastic job on this video for sure and so good to see the kids out and with you up and down the machine.
As always the farmer is doing what he does to make everything work well and without any problems we hope!!!!!!!

We used a John Deere 95 over 50 years ago. I've been out of farming since being drafted in '67. I'm just amazed that there are not more greaseless bearings used on the combine! Go figure. I have a good idea about the lack of greaseless bearings. Regards...

Will you run the straw chopper or disable it for wheat harvest?

    • @TheFarmingLife

+Massey1105driver it depends on how tough the straw is when we combine. If is on the tougher side we will to help spread it out, so it can dry.

My uncle had a 9550 I remember having to take out every other rath bar I think they were called for oats. Do you have to do that for wheat?

Noel Hohberger I think he took out the filler plates to help with compacity I have never done that. but maybe I should try it sometime it's not that hard to do. hope you have a great day and talk to you later

I know a little about greasing harvest machines, ie. corn & peas. Have you given thought to using quality synthetic grease?

That's a lot of greasing to do. Would it be a good idea to have a B/O grease gun for the job?

That's the one thing I don't miss about owning a combine, crawling around a dusty machine and getting grease on my hands.

Maintainence on the combine is important in preparation for harvest

Farmer when u get a chance u should look into getting a locknlube grease bucket , I have seen them used on other farming vids , u pump with u r foot and has a long hose , might give it a look at least
