Congrats on your pregnancy! I just had my second child three weeks ago and I can attest that I’ve never stopped living and have found ways to intermingle motherhood and being a wife with still just being me. It can definitely be done- and I just ordered a journal for Q2!

My first trimester was a mess, I was so tired all the time. I would take a 15min nap at my desk at work and I didn't even care! Luckily my boss was totally fine with it. But I was a hot mess 😵💫.

Mamas really be out here getting stuff done. Love that you’re giving yourself space to figure out what a good pace feels like for you in this season. As crazy as it seems for many of us third trimester is when you have the most energy! Out here putting together furniture, organizing clothes and finalizing the nursery.
Way to go mama! I think pregnancy is giving you a new drive to do even more!

Erin, there is nothing wrong with resting, taking a pause, taking a nap, or sitting outside lounging. I want us as Black people to normalize getting a job done using an easier way. Something I live by is, how can we get the same results by doing 'it' an easier, simpler, less hard less stressful or quicker way? I'm glad you took the time to take a nap. Pregnant or not, pause, take a break. Rest.

I think you're in a great position of adding a baby to your current life as your career/worklife is flexible (not 1:1 client work nor needing to actually go clock in somewhere). I"m a new mama and yes it's been a pivot in my mindset and focus trying to start to go toward work that doesnt require me to clock in at my w2 job full time anymore.
ps: do you outsource your editing aaand where do you like to shop alot for on-camera cuteness alongside Zara

I loved the point you made on having the baby fit into your life because as I’m considering having a baby we do hear a lot of what we will have to give up, things we love like traveling but I also don’t think it has to be that way! Thanks for saying that. ❤
I travel sometimes as a wedding videographer and have brought my daughter along (espeicaly with still breastfeeding). It's challenging but we value getting to travel both for vaca and work so we just push past the exhausting travel days (and tantrums) and keep our eye on the prize lol. You can do it!
Relax and enjoy your pregnancy' and it will make you remain calm and collected for getting ready to be a beautiful and happy mom. Best wishes.

I purchased a Top 3 notebook a few months ago and it has been a life saver! Also Congrats on your new bundle of joy! I'm currently in the 3rd trimester for baby number 3 and trust me it gets a little easier after the 1st trimester, but once the 3rd trimester comes, you'll be over it lol. Don't worry though because you got this mama! Its all worth it.

No matter what you want, a child will slow your life down. Becoming a parent requires you to put your child's needs first, or you'll just be one of the many parents who raise a child who feels abandoned by their parents.
We never said our baby’s need won’t come first. We just don’t plan to abandon our own needs and wants out of life. Fully understand that life will change and we’re excited that it’ll change for the better.🫶🏽
