When I encounter an error, I click on the playlist icon in the upper right corner of the player, select a song, and it works. I don't know if this method will work for you !
I usually play the first song, and if i'd like to check out the next one, i just click the > arrow on the player itself instead of clicking on the next track from the playlist (which is usually when i encounter the error!)
This is brilliant. Back in my day I had to walk uphill both ways to the thrift store, only to dig through someone's entire Barbara Streisand Christmas collection.
Awesome video. A common trick I love is finding vendors or record store accounts you and sorting their for sale section by ‘highest price’. You can find all sorts of obscure music that people are very fond of there
watched this months ago and it has been so useful, so many artists, labels and releases i never would've known about if i hadn't started combining style tags !!! Thanks
Amazing tips! Been DJing for more than 10 years and this is really going to refresh my digging practices. I think digging involves a lot of different techniques, some more active or even passive when doing other things but this one is gold! 😍
I haven't watched the whole thing yet, still experimenting with Discogs, all these years and never knew genres were cumulative. Promise I'll watch the rest later once I've crawled out of this rabbit hole of Baleric Thrash Metal
Great message and episode especially in the age of algorithms i.e. online suggestions. I feel platforms are curating towards common directions they are subtly pushing. So much fun in finding gems on ones own.
so sick. this is the only digging method that's been able to surpass the old yt sidebar. for anyone that logs into yt, you would train your algorithm using this method and it would open up a new path of discovery
This is really cool, thanks for sharing as digging through the noise lately has been really mundane and boring through Beatport and other similar platforms
this is interesting, I should try using discogs more myself. RYM is unmatched in terms of genre tagging though bc it's a community vote and they have so many sub-genres. so much better suited for digging for specific styles tbh.
Sometimes there is an error/bugg then you have to switch from one of the RUclips videos to another and just go back and forth until it loads it properly.. for some this might work or not.
Maybe in next 10 years, same digging method but in nft physical-digital format, it can share royalty direct to producer-record label wallet via blockchain, method like some visual art do in this time
man I was envious watching this, CCL didn't get the Discogs youtube player error once..

Not blocking ads might be why.
For real 🙃

Lol. The Barbara records are allll over the thrift/record stores where I live too. This is so relatable

Fricken golden digging tips. Djs so lucky nowadays with this type of knowledge available at their fingers!

As a producer with records in the "Abstract, New Age, Acid" category I support this message :)

Great video. The art of digging is endless, working hard to get off the beaten track but still find good stuff and i think she's nailed it here.

could you please give more info about this sidebar? some link or keywords to search for. does it learn your listening habits from bandcamp? thanks :)
well said
using this method on youtube ? like typing these kind of tags and check it out ?
Yesss the YT algorithm is mint 👌🏼
Wow CCL, you’ve answered my prayers to learn how to dig!
Discogs is the best way to find music, love it to bits.
this Scala Beauty Nowhere release is dope
SO generously helpful CCL, deep thanks *
I do the same when I’m inspired discovering new stuff.
Discogs is simply amazing .
You’re my kind of girl .
CCL uses they/them pronouns
@@debtpay Seems like one woman to me. Why them? Does she have multiple personalities?

Wow… thank you for sharing ❤ btw that plugin is tremendous 😮
Great!! I been bored lately looking for music. This will take me to the rabbit hole. By the way great taste!!

Also available for Firefox

Thanks RA and CCL :)
i used the get butterflies knowing that i was going to dig crates for vinyl. internet searches will never replace that
Great tip thank you
Love ccl
Love this! Where can you find the bpm/pitch adjust extention?
Love this!
Why are YT videos removed from Discogs marketplace on mobile?
My discogs has like 30 open carts 😅
Anyone found the plugin for bandcamp ?
it's on Chrome and Firefox's built-in extension store
Great vid
nice finds
great method! :)
Legend!

My RUclips function on Discogs isn't working. Does anyone have an solution?
Same ):
Sometimes there is an error/bugg then you have to switch from one of the RUclips videos to another and just go back and forth until it loads it properly.. for some this might work or not.
open up RUclips in another tab and manual search.
Literally don’t use Discogs for this reason. Needs sorting 😢
Always busted. Just best to have RUclips in another tab & copy and paste
class
Those Temu ads though...
Labels are so cool because you can find more music that *may* sound similar.
cheers!
🔥🔥
inb4 "abstract" gets hella searches after this
Hmm nice ads at 5:45 🤔🧐🧐
haha🤣
Doubt anyone has this tbh
: ) ceci galaxy brain

😂
irdial RULED !!!

Use me as a LOL emoji
The year is 2024 and resident advisor has published a video explaining how to search discogs😂😂😂 this has to be a troll. “The art of djing” 😂😂😂😂
she has the tiktok voice

iv been thining about this for soem trime, but what stops someone from uploading it to youtube for example. not yt crappy copyright system
nothing new- record shops + discogs + yt + bandcamp is standard for music and record research and everyone whos collecting records to death knows that
Deleted my comment, ha?
Sure… RA.
its stupid, go directly to youtube and skip discogs. Wtf.
Way way way less on RUclips
