Emma Sing's tryscoring & goalkicking abilities surely can't be ignored much longer by ENG, can she play in the same backline as Ellie Kildunne?!

Yes she can Ellie Kildunne had said as much. How good would Emma, Ellie and Abby Dow be !

I watch Emma regularly and she has been a better 15 than Ellie for a couple of seasons. So the question for John Mitchell is he prepared to drop Ellie after surprisingly (to me anyway) winning World Player of the Year or drop Jess and put her on the wing. The latter option is probably less painful.
His selection of centres is going to be tricky with Meg Jones on fire. To me Tatyana is a cert.
Replace Marlie, who is now passed her sell by date , and give Georgia Brock another run out.

@@SandSMat Will he actually play Heard & Jones together in the midfield or end up dropping one of them for Scarratt?!

@@AllInTheGame01 I have always believed that players who are in form should be picked and these two are both on fire. Scarratt is a great player but I don't think she is playing as well as she has and seems to have lost her place kicking ability. I would be sad to see a fit Helena Rowland not in the squad as she is such a talent. I would even go as far as giving her a run out at 10.

@@SandSMat Rowland, Scarratt, Heard, Jones & Goldthorp (Centres) are in ENG's 6N Training Squad with Bonner, Breach, Dow, MacDonald & Veneer (WGs), and Sing & Kildunne (FBs).

Incredible depth in English women’s rugby at the moment. They could pick a second side that would be very competitive. 🇳🇿

Red Roses third team would be very competitive. Their second team would probably only lose to the first team. The players move in and out so seamlessly that it's difficult to know what the first team is.

I was at Ashton Gate for the first match, which was a thoroughly enthralling game. Gloucester were just too strong in the second half. Our Bears played some great rugby tho! Not sure why Dave Ward waited til less than twenty from the end of the fixture to unleash our new superstar though...

She primarily a 7s player and hasn’t had long to get back into 15s and learn the Bears systems. I’m sure she’ll get longer when she’s had more time to settle in.

I watched it online, but I agree, they should have brought her in about 20-30 min mark, because at that 60 min point, the Gloucester team was on a roll and it was too late to come back!

Katy Daly - McClean hit the nail on the head when she said that Bears were trying to play the ball out of their red zone instead easing pressure with a kick.
I think that it would have been foolish to bring on a player who Dave Ward had not, nor anyone else come to that, seen playing 15s. Bears were being beaten and if there hadn't been all the media hype then I don't believe Ward would have brought Ilona on.
Being the most followed player on X or whatever doesn't make them an automatic choice.

She's only a superstar on social media., not on in 15s rugby.

I do not follow women rugby but the tall woman who has the brown curly hair is a player that could play for the mens team

You should see her highlights from rugby 7s. Her running style reminds me of Derrick Henry. Portia Woodman is another special player - she runs like Beast Mode Marshawn.

We live in an era where greatness equates to how many followers someone has on social media, not their rugby ability. 🤷‍♂️

She earns a living on social so she can play rugby, her great following enables her to do what she loves, and will now benefit her team and the women's game as a whole. Why you hatin, g?
