One of the best looking games I've ever seen, especially as of late. You had me on the gameplay, but add in good staff fighting and I am SOLD.

I've watched this trailer probably 20-30 times and the amount of detail is absolutely remarkable. The trailer gave me chills, and to make sure I wasn't crazy I showed it to my BF. When he saw the underground city reveal, his jaw literally dropped. Phenomenal. I'll be keeping a close eye on this game.

Holy cow, this pixel art is amazing and overall trailer directing is better than AAA these days!
This was one of the best trailers and the best pixel art animations I've ever seen. I just hope these aren't promises that the final game doesn't live up to.

Holy shit, the sprite work here looks incredible! Hope it's not another story about a SJW lesbian or something like that. I've nothing against female heroes but recently it feels like it's the thing quite often in games with female leads CaughTimespinnerCaugh. Already seen a comment on Kickstarter about NPC's skin color. Jesus Christ, is this the most important thing in a video game? I thought what matters the most is the gameplay and the story. Next thing to happen will be somebody whining there are no gay characters in the game or if there are, they are badly presented. You can never satisfy those people. Ever!
It's just a shame when games with a lot of artistic potential and creativity waste it all to push some political agenda. Hope it's not the case here because I really like the sprite work and the animations! That dragon alone might have sold me. :D
I get the idea that the "lights" will all be women for some daft reason and that the church is some overly patriarchal religious organization that sacrifices women to "the darkland".

i do not know if combat will really look like in this trailer given that enemy attacks don't look telegraphed/reactive at all, but man, this was one hell of a trailer
It seems like the combat is actually gonna work like actual fencing where certain stances are basically a counter to other stances so you would have to know what counter what to fight against those enemies.
I've always had this idea in my head of what I call a "true block system" in a game where all the player does is hold a button and the character automatically blocks every attack from a myriad of angles like fighters in a Kung Fu movie. The skill would come in where you would still have to time precise counterattacks in between the blocked blows when an opening arises and a fail means double damage to the player. It could work. It could be really cinematic. There's this obscure n64 fighting game that had similar blocking but no counterattacks. I can't remember the name. I just remember something cheesy like Greatest Fighter, or something.

Hopefully they reveal more about the game. Looks like your using sticks, bows etc then all the sudden looks like some sci fi looking stuff at the end..
It's a game about two cultures, one medieval, one advanced. As you explore both nations, you'll collect gear from both.

I saw this got kickstarter funded.

Given the choice, I'd rather have a superbly animated stick figure in my games than photo real graphics with jerky, robotic animation. Animation is everything to me. So you can see why I am salivating for this 😃 Going to Kickstarter now. Now shut up and take my money.

Hmm... sceptical. As gamedeveloper myself i see much stuff that seems more event based in gameplay but is shown as controllable. Isit so dynamic like it seems?
But anyway. Masterpeace in visual and Sounddesign on trailer.
A blocksystem could be very hard on the speed of fights.
Best looking game and gameplay of its genre I've ever seen, can't wait to back it! And the song from the first trailer is amazing.

This game looks like it will be a masterpiece, seriously the dopest thing I've seen in years. Just watching the trailer brought out so many emotions and it's rare a game does that to me. Just wow, I need a switch asap!

Just saw this today in a list of top 50 upvoming metroidvania's. This stood out for the unique movement (and not looking like another hollow knight clone).

I'm gonna be a bummer and say that this doesn't look like gameplay, it looks like a mockup animation
A lot of it is messed with for timing, to get it to sync with the music. I hope you'll check back when we have a demo to share, that will obviously give you a closer look at how the game-play looks/feels.

Tell me... is this magic? How do you do a thing like thiiiisss! The combat, the run and jumps.. it looks more like an animation than a game. I mean.. they look so spontaneous to be a controlled thing
We had to tweak the timing to fit the music. It's all the animations in the game, but the timing is modified for the video. We thought that was preferable than playing the same moment 100 times to get the perfect shot.

It's been 4yrs already. No new update on the game.
It's actually been 10 years since we started. It was 6 years until we got the boost from Kickstarter funding and a couple of us could go full time. It's been about 1.5 years since we got full funding and a sort of full team has been able to go full time. So things are moving the fastest they ever have now!
