Whether it's facelifts or redesigns, they are quick and efficient at making the right changes. I am very impressed and surprised how great this new Santa Fe is. It looks like the chief designer thought about every single thing a customer would want and need, and successfully solved every possible problem. Very few cars end up being flawless or perfect as vehicles, but this Santa Fe is definitely one I would consider almost flawless. There is honestly nothing to complain about since every part of its design and engineering has a function and explanation. The low tailights felt a bit awkward, but knowing that it has lead to maximizing cargo space and the opening makes me understand why they did it, and how great of a QOL feature it is.

🤣 Listen to the Kia salesman. If they're so great, they wouldn't be recalling their vehicles at astronomical rates year after year and telling their customers to park them outside. You're entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. They're junk.
@Mr21scott Lol okay. The recalls aren't even that bad, and their new engines don't even have any issues. Same energy for Honda and their turbo engine and oil dilution issues? Or the number of recent Toyota recalls. The RAV4 in its first 2 years had recall after recall. Then you have the cablegate situation. You Toyota stans are so delusional and will accept anything they release and blindly say they're reliable like sheep. While their cars are ugly, overpriced, outdated, and filled with cheap materials. You guys get so defensive if Hyundai or Kia get any praise or start making an effort. Never seen people get so insecure about any brand but the Koreans while bootlicking the Japanese ones. Why don't you mind your own business and stick to your boring appliance cars.
Hyundai and Kia are really nailing it these days. It would be a toss up between this and the new KIA Telluride. What a great time to be a mid-size SUV buyer.
I drive a 2022 Santa Fe and very happy with it. However, the 2024 Santa Fe looks great. Great looking vehicle. Hyndai vehicles are turning out to be very reliable.

Bought a brand new Santa Fe 2002 in 2001. We drove it for 19 years!! A fantastic vehicle!! Now, I’m in the market for another vehicle. I think I’m going to have to go with another Santa Fe! LOVE the look of the 2024. Any idea when we can get our hands on one??
Really awesome review!! Besides the odd rear design...I feel like I'll easily live with it since it comes w/ so many cool features. I would add that if Hyundai decides to refresh the rear, maybe copy the front & keep it simple
I’m only halfway through this video and I needed to make a comment now. I watched the video you made on the Santa Fe a couple of weeks ago and was looking forward to the day when you were able to do a test drive. You sure do not disappoint. You were enthusiasm, and attention to detail is impeccable. I really appreciate All the details you were talking about the vehicle. Your English is outstanding. I tried to watch the video in Korean with your wife, but I am visually impaired and cannot read the subtitles so I waited for this one. Great job. 👍🏻👍🏻. Makes me want to take a vacation to South Korea. Come visit and show me some good restaurants to eat. 😂
Thank you very much for the comment. I plan on making videos with my wife DumA in Korean with English subtitles of course and solo English review vid as always. One may be uploaded earlier than the other depending on a car to another, but they sure will come. Hit me up when you're visiting Korea, I often do tours for car enthusiasts around the globe.
@@iseulboy I am a big car and truck enthusiasm is. I used to be able to drive but no longer. So I do all my research and get a vehicle from my wife. I unfortunately cannot read the subtitles on my phone. Maybe I need to buy a 110 inch TV screen to use as a computer monitor🤣 hope you are well
I love the style of this new Santa Fe and I appreciate how dedicated you are to studying everything about this vehicle as well, excellent job. I wish this were AWD though.
Compliments to Your wife and great review! I actually consider this as my next car. Looking forward to that test drive. Greetings and respects from Poland. 🇵🇱💪🇰🇷
So many "offerings" I want, column shift, boxy design, attractive orange and white colors, pass thru center stack, 3rd row flat folding seat.I may even try to pre-order depending on the price.
Thanks to your great presentation, this is now my top choise for a car next year. Still waiting for all details to come out European plugin hybrid version. I just feel like full EV is waste of battery material almost in these big vehicles and plugin feels suitable for daily drive and occasional long trip.
Santa Fe PHEV, the best Hyundai Motor Group's got to offer that Korea never gets 🥲 Test driving an ICE, I don't even need to test drive the PHEV to tell you how great it'd be!
Agreed. Europe has such a lack of roomy non-luxury 3 row SUVs that this Santa Fe will definitely end up being extremely popular, especially as a HEV or PHEV.
I like the Matte White with gloss black trim. The interior design, technology, spaciousness and visibility more than make up for any debate I may have for the rear design. The new Santa Fe will definitely be on the short list for my new purchase in 2024.
It's gotten so much better with her lately, thank god. Test driving many cars, there clearly is a car that causes less motion sickness, hope your niece would find the car that suits her!
Hi from Australia. Love your work mate. Santa Fe Hybrid is now available here in AUS. Just want to ask you, there is only 1 camera on the rear spoiler on the Calligraphy, which is the top of the line model. What are we missing..?
Top two cameras are Digital Center Mirror or Built-in cam 2. You might be missing one of the two, which often is the case depending on a market to another.
Would love to see a night time pov drive to see all the interior lighting. And if it was in the Black Ink Black Exterior trim that would even be better as that is the one I plan on purchasing. Thanks. And have you heard of any aprox date or time frame that we may see here in western North America?
In this new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe model, are the wind whistles of the body well insulated so that no wind whistle sound is heard from the pillars of the windshield edges into the interior?.
I think you also test drove the Kia EV9. When you had to choose between the two. With which one would you go? Moreover, how does comfort in the 3rd row and overall quality compare? Thanks and best
EV9 is nearly triple the pricetag of Santa Fe, two very different cars given the size, powertrain and all. But you'd know this and I'd go with EV9 any time, but if I were to buy a car from my pocket, it'd be Santa Fe.
Thank you for awesome review. I got 2023 GV80 earlier this summer. My husband is leaning towards Santa Fe over GV70. The Santa Fe has more features we like.
I'd by just guessing if I were to answer you this because it's been more than a year since I drove the last gen Santa Fe. However, the current generation provided me one of the best and smoothest suspension out in the current market in its segment!
I want to get this vehicle but just so afraid that US dealers are going to be difficult and greedy again and try to milk the customer with their inventory process and extra markups! Ruins the experience - Hyundai do something!
I read that there will be two “black” interiors. One is Obsidian Black and One being “Black Ink”. Is that the colorway that has absolutely everything inside in black? Cause that is the version I hope to order. All black everything! Make me happy :)
I have an entire video dedicated for Black Ink here: ruclips.net/video/GXybXWncqCc/видео.htmlsi=VNBZ92N14nuOjc5e It is more "black" than Obsidian Black, with a few silver accents.
Another eventful video by you on this car! Will you bre doing a test drive on the hybrid engine too? I love the increased fuel efficiency but concerned about the acceleration.
I have a question concerning the behaviour in stop and go traffic situations: If you use the ACC (Adaptive cruise control) and the car comes to a stop, how does it react? Will it start automatically again if the car in front of you drives away? Does it require you to hit the break after 5 seconds or what?
It will stop reacting to the vehicle in the front. In other words, if there is no traffic in front of you, it will beat the light. Once the car has stopped, you will either need to push a button or hit on the gas pedal to make it moving again - this is for the cities - but the car will start moving again on its own if HDA is actually being used on a highway (detected by the navigation).
When I first saw this car a few weeks ago I thought it looked hideous! But actually it's grown on me, I think they've nailed it. If I had to choose a new car now, it would be this or the Kia Sorento
Thanks Brother - great review, appreciate the detail. I can’t wait for spring 2024 to get my first Hyundai. You had the first video review of the Sante Fe before the official release and I knew I wanted one then. Have you had a chance to drive the hybrid yet? I’m concerned it will be underpowered. I’m here in the states and as you mentioned in other comments, I have heard negative reviews of the DCT regarding the clunky/jerky deceleration with the DCT. Also, do you know if there will be a tow bar option available from dealers or will need to be aftermarket? Thanks for your time!
Mostly yes for the two bar. There is no HEV test driver available atm. The clunky/jerky motion happens with all DCTs due to the nature being, but I can tell you that it is one of the smoothest and softest DCT out there for a family SUV from HMG thus far.
Will the American version have higher tail lights? This is a major safety issue. Im loving everything else and plan to test drive as soon as it hits the lots.
Due to the proportions of this Santa Fe, the tail lights may seem very low, but it isn't. It's just as high as sedans' tail lights, which you can see in my first video on SF: ruclips.net/video/GqaMtimA7ts/видео.html
Just watched your video. Loved it. Good work! I currently own a 2022 SF Hybrid, and will probably trade it in for the new one, when it is released here in America. I absolutely love the redesign, and have always loved the "boxy" look. I wonder if Hyundai changed that awful beep sound when the hybrid is put in reverse. Hope they used a different sound, but still delivering the aural alert warning.
Just curious how long before it asks to keep your hands on the wheel on HDA 2? My Kia Sportage hybrid with HDA last up to 1min 20sec before asking you to hold the wheel.
It would have been nice to hear a few negatives. This review seemed a bit fanboyish. It does seem to be a relatively nice car though. I would definitely consider it, but I’m not sure that the exterior design will age well. Pricing will be import, as Hyundais don’t have as good a resale value as Honda and Toyota.
I couldn’t really pinpoint any of the negative things during the short period of the test drive. I really was personally blown away by every aspect of how Santa Fe drove during the test drive, which I believe, was really obvious in the video. Truly a great car it was.
For the Australian & New Zealand Markets hoping that they will include the 2.2 Crdi diesel engine - given the distances, towing use-cases and reliability of this engine vs the petrol alternatives that would be my only choice. 1.6l hybrid is definitely a much weaker option in my opinion.. fingers crossed.. new prado or ford everest or used defender 110 is looking like a good option if no diesel Santa Fe
@@CarSceneKorea - oh know !!! My understanding is that the diesel was 2/3 of Santa Fe unit sales in this region. Perhaps Kia will retain in the 2024 Sorrento? It’s one of the best engines / lots of torque and most reliable they have produced and with addition of ad blue etc.. would have been a winner.
Nz is going to get 2.5T and 1.6 T hybrid but as you said, 1.6 hybrid is a much weaker option especially on Aus or NZ freeway, it is hard to overtake big vehicle either freeway or rural farm road
@@hcy2925 - thanks for reply, where did you hear about the 2.5T petrol coming to NZ? I am considering moving to Kia Sorrento as they will have the 2.2 crdi engine in NZ or may be tempted by the Everest or new Diesel Prado. Current Crdi is doing 6.9l / 100km on longer drives and very impressed.. Many car company seem to be carrying on with diesels in this region..
My 2013 Sante Fe started burning engine oil after 100,000km, about 1L/100km. The Hyundai shop told me to service the car every 3000km which is ridiculous!
I'm in the U.S.. At the LA Auto show....the bloggers all did their reviews in and around a "Rockford Green" XRT. However.....on the Hyundai website for the XRT.....there is no mention of a GREEN color at all on the XRT? Any idea what this is about? I really like that particular color on that vehicle!
Pretty sure it is just not updated yet, the color is among the list of what's available for the NA market: 11 Exterior colors in North America - Phantom Black - Serenity White Pearl - Curated Silver Metallic - Ecotronic Gray Pearl - Ecotronic Gray Matte - Ultimate Red Metallic - Earthy Brass Metallic Matte(얼씨 브레스 메탈릭 매트) - Atlantis Blue Pearl - Hampton Gray - Terracotta Orange - Rockwood Green Pearl

Excellent review! In America your my go-to couple for Korean car news. You have your beautiful wife with you let's hear more on her thoughts on likes and don't likes split the review up. Also this Santa Fe looks huge how much smaller is it from the Palisade?
This Santa Fe certainly has gotten bigger in numbers and looks compared to the last model indeed. However, it still looks like a Santa Fe next to Palisade :P
Absolutely excellent review thank you. Love the drive and talk. You mentioned great for camping. Do you know the length and width of the back when first and second seats are folded down? Thank you again!
all folded was measured 218cm on another video. Depends on where first row is set for the driver. As for width designer said 127cm. I am not sure accurace and is it between wheels or not. 2100 litres capacity also was given another video.
@@MrRaitzi thank you very helpful to have general measurements. Gives me a feel for it. I will definitely check out your other videos on the subject. Much appreciated. And again great quality video.
@@CarSceneKorea thank you. I look forward to that one! No one else is doing that on the reviews and it's so important. Gonna be tuning I to your channel. And if I may, placing both seats down and having someone lay in the back is a helpful eye feel if you know what I mean. Thank you again! 🙏
I like the engineering and style but most Hyundais and Kias don’t fair well in crash testing so for my overall sense of feeling safe for my family has me concerned. Like the value and style you get but the most important thing when your travelling fast is safety.
I'm eagerly awaiting to see and hear the details / specifications of the Australian release models and variants. I watched your Korean language test drive while trying to read the english sub titles. I would like to have seen a bright red or burgundy colour and a brighter blue.

No PHEV for you? Damn. In Slovakia we will get this one as I read on Facebook official channel for Slovakia.@@CarSceneKorea
I have a 2019. Cant wait to get this version
Love my 2023 Tucson SEL with all its features but can’t wait to see this vehicle in person here in the states.
How much?? I want one
Great job. Can’t wait to see the Santa Fe
Awesome detailed walkthrough/review! Really appreciate you not rushing through the video and keeping a familiar pace when talking. New sub!!
I appreciate that! Welcome aboard :)
Loved this video, when will you have a review of the Hybrid?
It’s already up :)
I like the Matte White with gloss black trim. The interior design, technology, spaciousness and visibility more than make up for any debate I may have for the rear design. The new Santa Fe will definitely be on the short list for my new purchase in 2024.
Agreed! 💯
Want to buy one. Awesome design, just love it. When is it coming to India?
I sympathize with your wife, my niece also has motion sickness and needs to take a pill on every trip.... Great review BTW
Diesel V6 mild-hybrid?
No more diesel for Santa Fe.
Would love to see a night time pov drive to see all the interior lighting. And if it was in the Black Ink Black Exterior trim that would even be better as that is the one I plan on purchasing. Thanks. And have you heard of any aprox date or time frame that we may see here in western North America?
Coming soon!
Steering wheel looks like the range rovers. So beautiful. Excited for this and the new palisade.
Can't wait for Palisade too!
That Earthy Brass Metallic Matte is so gorgeous.
My favorite too!
@@CarSceneKorea could you talk about the maintenance on the Earthy Brass Matte?
I came wait for it to come out! Im in love with this one. I currently drive a 2023 Santa Fe
All Santa Fe owners seem to love it!
excellent review, thank you.
Thanks for watching!
I think you mean lumbar support not pelvic support. Great review of the new Santa Fe.
Did I have it the other way? Thanks for the comment :)
@@CarSceneKorea yes. You said pelvic support.
How's the off-road capability of this year's model? Off-road test anytime soon?
Test drivers are currently all in 2WD, so it'd be a bit pointless. Will see what I can do!
Looks very nice , well done design and development crew at Hyundai!!!!
Thank you for awesome review. I got 2023 GV80 earlier this summer. My husband is leaning towards Santa Fe over GV70. The Santa Fe has more features we like.
GV80 & GV70 in the garage would look beautiful though! Those double lines 👀
What about comfortable suspension in comparison with previous model?! Thank from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
I'd by just guessing if I were to answer you this because it's been more than a year since I drove the last gen Santa Fe. However, the current generation provided me one of the best and smoothest suspension out in the current market in its segment!
@@CarSceneKorea
Thanks a lot for your quick response 🌹👍😊
I have never been a Hyundai guy. But I'm officially a convert with this new rework.
Welcome onboard 🎉
Are they making more Sorento's and sending to Canada now?
I want to get this vehicle but just so afraid that US dealers are going to be difficult and greedy again and try to milk the customer with their inventory process and extra markups! Ruins the experience - Hyundai do something!
Have you test driven the 2024 Sorento yet? How does it compare to the smooth ride of the Sante Fe?
I have, coming soon! Mine was hybrid, so it won’t be a fair comparison, but hybrids hands down.
This car now is top on my list
I read that there will be two “black” interiors. One is Obsidian Black and One being “Black Ink”. Is that the colorway that has absolutely everything inside in black? Cause that is the version I hope to order. All black everything! Make me happy :)
I have an entire video dedicated for Black Ink here:
ruclips.net/video/GXybXWncqCc/видео.htmlsi=VNBZ92N14nuOjc5e
It is more "black" than Obsidian Black, with a few silver accents.
No pricing yet in Canada. I put down the $500 deposit so I can be on the waiting list. Can't freaking wait lol!
Will all be worth it!
Currently driving a 2014 Santa Fe.Looking forward to 2034.
Beautiful car. Think it will might as well be the best SUV this year.
Hyundai really did a good job with the next gen Santa Fe. Can't wait to check it out in the metal.
What about the sounds of the chassis, are the wheel housings well soundproofed?
SUPER.
Another eventful video by you on this car! Will you bre doing a test drive on the hybrid engine too? I love the increased fuel efficiency but concerned about the acceleration.
Sure thing when it becomes available!
Looks great! too bad the powertrain is the same as last gen. This car is bigger and needs more power.
отличная работа , дизельные моторы есть ?
Спасибо! Для Санта-Фе больше нет дизеля. Только Соренто.
Wow. Nice review.
I DiD subscribed . 😊
Thank you !!!!
Thanks for the sub!
2024 palisade caligraphy is the one i bought and paid cash so i would not have payments, been saving for years.
Great car of course. Flagship of Hyundai! Can't wait for the all-new model.
When I first saw this car a few weeks ago I thought it looked hideous! But actually it's grown on me, I think they've nailed it.
If I had to choose a new car now, it would be this or the Kia Sorento
Comparison vid to Sorento coming soon. Hope that vid would help your decision :)
The lady in the car is bueatiful.. and the car 😅
Thank you 😍
Fuels tank capacity and fuel consumption?
DumA said BYE to us!!!!
😁
Awesome video as always!
🫡
Thanks! 😁
Will the American version have higher tail lights? This is a major safety issue. Im loving everything else and plan to test drive as soon as it hits the lots.
Due to the proportions of this Santa Fe, the tail lights may seem very low, but it isn't. It's just as high as sedans' tail lights, which you can see in my first video on SF:
ruclips.net/video/GqaMtimA7ts/видео.html
Just watched your video. Loved it. Good work! I currently own a 2022 SF Hybrid, and will probably trade it in for the new one, when it is released here in America. I absolutely love the redesign, and have always loved the "boxy" look. I wonder if Hyundai changed that awful beep sound when the hybrid is put in reverse. Hope they used a different sound, but still delivering the aural alert warning.
Do you know the insane weight of this car for that tinsy 1.6L engine if that is paired with the electric motor.
Ah, that noise.
Thanks! Great review!
Thanks for watching!
This as a hybrid will be my ideal car. A perfect replacement for my beloved 2013 Ford Flex.
Ahhh, I'd love a Hybrid Santa Fe, only if I could afford one!
How do you feel road noise and wind noise when drive Santafe 2024?
Best one in the class (considering the price tag too).
Just curious how long before it asks to keep your hands on the wheel on HDA 2? My Kia Sportage hybrid with HDA last up to 1min 20sec before asking you to hold the wheel.
I think it was around 30 seconds until it disables the HDA2.
I ❤ Santa Fe 2024. Nice 🚗
No more diesel for this Santa Fe 🥲
@@CarSceneKorea - oh know !!! My understanding is that the diesel was 2/3 of Santa Fe unit sales in this region. Perhaps Kia will retain in the 2024 Sorrento? It’s one of the best engines / lots of torque and most reliable they have produced and with addition of ad blue etc.. would have been a winner.
I hope for 2.5L benzin with 4WD in Europe, that would be a real game changer
The Hyundai shop told me to service the car every 3000km which is ridiculous!
great presentation. thanks a lot
Most welcome! :)
Is the suspension better than that rough suspension that the hippo had?
I would definitely say so.
You already sold me hyundai senta fe . I ❤ it
I'm in the U.S.. At the LA Auto show....the bloggers all did their reviews in and around a "Rockford Green" XRT. However.....on the Hyundai website for the XRT.....there is no mention of a GREEN color at all on the XRT? Any idea what this is about? I really like that particular color on that vehicle!
Pretty sure it is just not updated yet, the color is among the list of what's available for the NA market:
11 Exterior colors in North America
- Phantom Black
- Serenity White Pearl
- Curated Silver Metallic
- Ecotronic Gray Pearl
- Ecotronic Gray Matte
- Ultimate Red Metallic
- Earthy Brass Metallic Matte(얼씨 브레스 메탈릭 매트)
- Atlantis Blue Pearl
- Hampton Gray
- Terracotta Orange
- Rockwood Green Pearl
THANK YOU for checking for me! I appreciate it.
Dear Thank you very much for such informative review, It is worth buying for sure!! I fell in love with this car even more after your video, I will wait for permission from the Korean authorities to export this car. In Kazakhstan, we are big fans of Hyundai. 우리는 당신을 사랑합니다🤍
Glad you like it! 👍
I can't find info anywhere if this will be available in a 2 row 5 seater
Yep. Available in 5, 6, 7 seat configuration.
What is exactly special about the Seatbelts of this car? as far as I remember even Santafe DM had three point seatbelts for all rows
Mind leaving me the timestamp about it? Cannot recall what I’ve said about em.
Can you confirm how many speakers the top trim will have?
Didn't check on that. I don't really cover speakers since I know little to none about them. I love the base from BOSE though.
@@CarSceneKorea thanks. If you find out later on please let me know.
12 speakers with external amp, BOSE sound system :)
Does it has seat heater/cooler? Like Palisade has
Yep, both for the first row, heated seats for 2nd row, not sure about 3rd.
영어 공부할겸 자막이랑 함께 보고 듣습니다. 감사합니다. ㅎ
따뜻한 댓글 감사합니다!
What is the width at the carpet between the rear wheel wells? NO REVIEW TELLS THIS. PLEASE tell me
42.5in perhaps? Is this what you are looking for? (timestamped, so will take you there right away.)
ruclips.net/video/ooImNqpcDak/видео.html
Is this model already available in the US market…?
Not right now, but will soon be.
Does it have power mirrors and does it have a sunglasses compartment?
Yes and no in the order.
I do have a video with precise measurements using measuring tape. Didn't have the time to edit the vid yet. Will come!
@@CarSceneKorea thank you. I look forward to that one! No one else is doing that on the reviews and it's so important. Gonna be tuning I to your channel. And if I may, placing both seats down and having someone lay in the back is a helpful eye feel if you know what I mean. Thank you again! 🙏
@@sethwatson5797 Hope you checked out the latest video! :)
I like the engineering and style but most Hyundais and Kias don’t fair well in crash testing so for my overall sense of feeling safe for
my family has me concerned. Like the value and style you get but the most important thing when your travelling fast is safety.
Hope you had the chance to check out recent IIHS ratings on Hyundai Motor Group cars :)
i wonder what a fully optioned 6 seater will cost in Australia
Expect about anywhere from 1K to 2K USD from the last generation's price.
I'm eagerly awaiting to see and hear the details / specifications of the Australian release models and variants.
I watched your Korean language test drive while trying to read the english sub titles.
I would like to have seen a bright red or burgundy colour and a brighter blue.
Right. No more bright red & blue colors 🥲
Oh wow so great 👍 and very beautiful 🤩❤️ and the engine 🚂🚒 very strong and powerful for the off 🛣️ road 💪🛣️ or high way and very good design with the new 🆕 technology for the new 🆕 generation hument and very easy to drive and comfortable ❤..
Thank you 🤗
What about tall drivers I am 6’4 can the driver seat work for me ?
Does the rear storage area have a cover ?
If the current version Santa Fe works for you, it should work fine. There is no rear storage cover/luggage screen.
