Hi, I bought a 1980 rabbit pickup and I was doing some wiring work under the dash and now I don’t have any spark. I can’t figure out why, my plugs and coil are good so the problem probably is I messed up something under the dash or with the starter while putting it back together. I don’t really know what I’m doing so wondering if you could help.

I would bet that rust below your rear window is also from mice. I’m fixing rust back there and had the exact same rust look you do. Those little things get everywhere.
Oh yeah, you’re exactly right. It was absolutely jam-packed with mouse nest! Combine that with (another) leaky window seal… it’s definitely a bummer.

I assumed that most people wouldn’t want to watch a video covering all of the little details and opted for a more generalized video. BUT I do have way more footage than what was shown here, so maybe if there’s enough interest, I could show everything!
I'd love to know. I've got a 1.6NA caddy and know where a couple BEW Jettas are sitting in a field with ate up cams. I've been thinking about swapping my caddy with a "force upgraded" BEW when the 1.6 melts down. Or do I keep an eye out for a cheap ALH, if there is such a thing.
