I can't play with uncapped fps with my 5600x and rx 6700 xt. Feels like a stuttery mess due to the drops from 250-350 to 120-130fps... I have to keep v-sync on for the game to play smoothly

Hmm I have the same specs but for some reason get under 200 fps and sometimes I’ll hit 250 depending on where I am on the map. Also depends what map I’m playing but surprised at my fps.

@@NoMercyBenchmark for the future, dont use Dust 2 as a benchmark. Its an old map, easy to run on all PCs and isnt even in the map pool anymore. Use Inferno or Ancient as benchmarks

I played a DM today in inferno, with the same video configuration and full lobby. I did the avg (for 5 minutes, via MSI) and at the end of the DM I had 257fps from AVG (basically the same thing I get in DUST2). To my surprise, I felt a little more fluid playing DM (full lobby) on Inferno than on Dust2.@@emp437

My setup uses R7 3800X with undervolt and rtx 3060ti with heavy undervolt and slight underclock. I'm still CPU limited hahah. In csgo I had 300-500fps. This fluctuation is huge. With cs2 I'm more around 180-250fps but it just feels... smoother. It's like source 2 outputs a lower amount of frames but with much better consistency and stability. And I like it. Oh and I almost forgot. I play with high settings. So not aiming for a pure competitive experience.

I have a video from 2 years ago on CSGO with 5600x and a GTX 1060 6GB, low 1280x960 graphics, my FPS in dm was around 400-500, in 5v5 it reached +700Fps at times. In CS2 in 5v5 I feel good fluidity playing, now in DUST2 DM with a full lobby I don't feel the game is so smooth.
These days I played DM in Inferno (full lobby) my average fps was 257FPS, nothing very different from what I had in Dust2, in fact I felt the game was even smoother in Inferno. But I only tested it on dm, I didn't test it on 5x5

I would like to have the 2060 on hand to compare exactly the same map and video settings and discover the difference, some videos I saw about the 2060 are on Mirage (which is lighter) and with different video settings. But after my test, rx 6700xt may have higher fps on some maps, but the difference is not too big., about 30-40fps. I think this game has an advantage for graphics cards with ray tracing, especially nvidia graphics cards that are much ahead in ray tracing technology. Unless cs2 does not use ray tracing special effects, or amd optimizes future drivers, currently nvidia graphics cards are used coming to play this game is an advantage. I think. Thanks.😁

I feel like if you play cs/valorant with the graphics all set to low, you can get more fps with a GTX 1060 or RX 590 than using a 6700XT or RTX 3070. But that's just my perception, I haven't done the tests yet for confirm.

Did you undervolt GPU? Thats crazy low temps and low power draw!
No, 100% stock GPU. The rog strix has really low temperatures, and I still use the custom fan curve
