Jon's affiliation with the Clinton's and supporting Hillary's campaign for the presidency explains a lot about why people dislike him or at least his politics. He adamantly hates Trump too..started over the bidding for the Buffalo Bills and swaying the city of Buffalo against Jon. Jon's a beautiful soul...but I don't like his alliance with the dirty Clintons and his anti-Trump sentiment. Hope that brings some light to your question.

@@dodgedabullet670 it does. That's why I don't choose if I like or dislike someone over topics like politics, religion or those kinda things. Everybody has a right to follow or support what they want. It's a shame famous people can't express their beliefs then as you and I are able to without being judged or hated.... It happens even within your family and I don't gonna hate them due to it. That's my opinion.

Dear Mr Bonjiovi. I foster dogs, and the last one I had was a German Shepherd. When he was put up for adoption so many people wanted him. But when a guy texted me saying he was an ex soldier with PTSD. Something inside me thought the dog should go to him.
So he came and got him he promised to love him and give him the best life.
Afterwards we kept in contact, and I told him about an ex soldier that I once knew who was homeless. I'm a paramedic and we had been sent to him for various injuries. Then one day we got a call that he had hanged himself. The guy who I had given my dog to replied 'You probably wish you had done more, but by giving me the dog you have saved another soldier from doing the same.' I just broke down, I had gone with my gut instinct and now they are a happy couple and he now has a reason to live. Aren't dogs wonderful?

I think it's not only a great songwriter but a great human being. He has not let the trappings of Fame go to his head. I like that he's been married to the same wife since 1989. He seems to be a family man. No bad press. No faking his age. I do hope after his tour in 2022 that he can rehab his voice. Something was off with him and I'm hoping it's not something that can't be overcome. I remember Bon Jovi when they first came out. I've always loved their music. And they moved forward with the times. Still miss Richie even though he was the one decided to leave.

I was so fortunate to be a teen in the 1980s. This was my group !!!! Not because of the way they looked, because I truly loved the music. I've been a fan since Bon Jovi Bon Jovi their first album with she's a little runaway. And 7800 Fahrenheit second in 1985 I believe? I was 15 in 85 and the music was booming!!! In and out of Love, Burning For Love , silent night, and I absolutely loved it because Jon Bon Jovi sang in my key . the key of c 🤣😂 so I mean I would have bon Jovi blaring singing to the top of my voice when I was cleaning. On cassette tape of course in my boombox. No lie. Love the group and Jon's voice . To me and I'm not bashing any group but Sebastian Bach of skid row Vince Neil, of motley Crue , their voices always seemed as if they were so thin of substance . and when they would reach a high note or high cord it almost seemed like they were screaming the note . Of course slippery when wet. And New Jersey were both in my cassettes as soon as they hit the music stores that's a given. But as we grow older our voice is a muscle and just like all the other muscles in the human body as you age. It weakens and it also depends on if you smoked how much you smoked how much you drank ect. I love the fact he let his hair go gray and he doesn't do plastic surgery. The new stuff is good . I will always love the old stuff . I'm 50 now . And I'm still rocking to the old tunes. 🤣 And New.

You know this day and age people can't believe someone can be humble and authentic when you have sold over 130 million albums , like how many people in his position literally do dishes and help build houses , it's incredible.

Great interview. JBJ . He is so down to earth and you can tell he was raised with morals and to be kind to others. I'm glad he's still writing and recording bcuz age is just a number. His gray hair is sexy and he looks so handsome. I'm happy he sticks to what he believes. One hell of a genuine nice guy that I wish was my friend. Wish I was closer, I'd ask to work in his restaurant as a volunteer. But Im not in NJ so I'll just keep listening to Bon Jovi's terrific music.

Bonjovi one of the only 80s bands still surveyed and thrives and still can fill areanes or better ,while there peers are playing the nolstegia circuits state or county fairs clubs etc. They are lucky and have die hard fans with or without radio, they survied pop boy bands, rap, alternative, grunge, the loss of sambora etc.130 million records and counting. Some of their best work was in the 90s and sold very well also during the seattle scene

I see that humidifier going in his room next to him. I really like this guy and hope he’s healthy. It sounds like he has a little trouble getting 100% breath. I’m having to rebuild my body and we’re about the same age. Wish him well! Shows he’s sensitive and not living in a bubble. Pretty cool. It’s much harder to be honest about where the world is heading for our children. He’s a dad and you can really see how having a family has given him a true concern for the future.

I once watched an interview with Jon saying how he doesn't listen to his own music (studio recordings) once they have been finished. And when he hears them years later, he's always like "oh thats how I sang that line" or "thats how the particular tune was played".
You can see him here bobbing his head about as he's listening and enjoying the moment.

What a good guy! I hate that people are tearing him down on his new tour. He’s given great music for years and years and years and a few years back put on one of the best show s I’ve ever seen. So what he can’t sing like he did back then. Leave the man alone.

Brilliant interview! Really thoughtful and interesting questions and answers. Clearly well researched, and I felt Jon gave a very open and honest response and explanation to things. I absolutely love that key change, (And I personally do believe it's the best in the world of modern music to date) but I bet it's played hell with his vocal chords!

I mean, i would just hire three backup vocals to do the key change, and just sing the low parts. All we need is the power of the chorus , not Jon to hit that note 4000 times. It’s unreasonable too, that’s a crazy note to hit every night.

I love the question about the key change but I love the answer even more. Jon admitting that they punched that part in until he got it right... and then the difficulty of having to reproduce it night after night is such an honest thing to share with listeners. Reminds me of the demise of Whitney Houston. I think the key change in "I Will Always Love You" is partly what killed her. That and the homophobia. But I digress...
