I'm so glad to hear that dates are so healthy. I mix two to three dates with one cup of walnuts and I make walnut milk in a nut milk machine. I drink that for breakfast. Sometimes I will put a tablespoon of dark chocolate in it too. It's so good Thank you 👍

I absolutely love dates! My favorite that I have tried are medjool dates however I must admit that my exposure to varieties is relatively limited. But so far I have yet to find one as good as the medjool.

I make a date paste with noor dates - the cheaper variety. The medjool are about two dollars more a pound. Unless you're eating them out of hand, I defy anyone to tell the difference between noor and medjool dates. Also, the noor dates are pitted, while the mejool aren't - one lestt thing to fool with.
Actually i've always found dates a bit boring compared to other dried fruits, like apricots and figs or raisins.

Noor dates are different and delicious too (more mellow caramelly IMO) as long as they're good quality soft ones, otherwise they can be a bit woody textured. Medjools are definitely the kings

I love all varieties of dates, but especially medjools. They're too rich to eat more than 1-3 at a time but YUM!!! Was raised on deglet noors and they're great too. Just bought some zahidis. Tiny little things and easy to eat a handful. Never had blood sugar issues with dates. Love to go to growers in Indio/Thermal and sample all varieties. In Feb they have the county fair/date festival. Yummy fun! Date puree is great on biscuits/toast...Stuffed dates with nuts/coconut are an easy dessert. Mom used to chop dates for hot cereal and that was a great combo. Hard lesson: dates can ferment/sugar if left out too long. Keep in frig/freezer or seal tightly in jars with such as pump-n-seal to preserve freshness. Blond and brunette dates are especially good. Khadrawi, halawi also.

Thanks. Please, clarify which of the researchers named the palm-tree date type: Ajwah, Khlaass, Khodary, Sukkary, Majdool, etc. Dates represent the healthiest fruit, but their nutritional effects are different. E.g.: My wife watched a lab technician testing Sukkary dates live on a diabetic patient and the conclusion was that three should be the maximum daily intake. I attended a medical conference and one of the professors presented a research comparing 10 different palm-tree date types and concluded that Ajwah is the best with seven to be taken daily.

Yep, dates are great - I'm an avid daily date eater (they will keep you regular too :) ). I'm on a very lo-carb diet, dates & blueberries are the only sweet things I will eat. They are also great pureed and blended with unsweetened yoghurt and some coconut. I'm not diabetic, I just don't function well with lots of carbs in my diet, especially from wheat.
However, I'm not placing much stock in your cited stats. I want to know are those percentages 'relative' or 'absolute'? Additionally, as correlation isn't causation, were there confounding factors taken into account? BTW, humans are absolutely not fructivores.. Humans are Facultative Carnivores. (Have you ever seen any cave paintings of fruit or vegetables?) Nice video presentation too. Thanks 👍🏻

Medjool are the most popular. I do like them but I enjoy others like Bahri better. But you can always find medjool.

They taste like candy, they are sweet as sugar. I love them.

Glycaemic index is a fixed value for a given item of food, it does not reflect a person's blood sugar level - there appears to be an error in your reporting ("...after eating 7-10...").

I'd consider having dates but I don't think my wife would go for it. 😊

Could it be the type of dates your talking about that she would object to??

We Muslims know it too well... dates are among the top super foods our Creator bless us with.
3 a day may be the perfect amount.
    Great channel, God bless!

I love dates as of a couple months ago. Trying many different varieties right now. I find it odd though, that if I eat too many at a time, I can tell my blood sugar is getting elevated and I’m not diabetic. I have gastritis at the moment but I don’t see how that would relate much.

You eat a ridiculous amount of dates? How many? I'm curious.... By the way, try Sukkari Rutab dates if you can get your hands on them - so sweet and delicious.
