      Thanks Janet! The weather has been so crazy here! We are back in a rainy cycle again which should last a week or more. We’ve been able to take some short rides but not good enough to make a video until this one. I’m hoping we can get back out this weekend a little bit though.

    WV is so beautiful - you are very fortunate to live there. Nothing better for the soul than the freedom and ability to ride in places like that :)

      Thanks Shiny Obsessed! We love it here for sure and love being able to share it with everyone. I have to admit I took it for granted until we started riding our bikes. It’s opened a whole new world! Thanks for stopping by!

    you got that right, humidity is awful around here and if not humid, it is raining for sure. Loved the ride along again, it is pretty in W.V.

    Absolutely beautiful there! Your videos have me seriously considering WV as a place to retire. Thanks for taking us on a tour of this stunning park.

      @Wandering Around Thank you very much!! I’ve been to nearly every state In the country and I always look forward to getting back to WV. There is a lot of beauty in this country but you can’t go wrong with the views here. Our people are what makes it so special. Everyone is treated like family here. I really appreciate you stopping by! 😀

      Thanks Mister G! We’ve really missed filming our rides with all the crazy weather we’ve had. We are actually back in a rainy cycle again for the next week or so which makes it hard to plan any long rides. I’m hoping to get back out this weekend…fingers crossed!!

    Good to see you back riding. Why didn't you ride tour Rattan even though it only had half battery? Would have been interesting to see how it would have done at this park. Beautiful scenery and hope you two can get out more.

      Hi Kevin! Thats a very good question and thanks for asking! I probably should have brought out the Rattan but I had a couple reasons why I didn’t. The first reason was because I didn’t realize how steep some of the roads were at this park and figured the Lectric would be fine. I also hadn’t ridden my Lectric for quite a while and thought this would be a good opportunity to get it back out. The last reason was that I wasn’t sure how long we’d be out there and didn’t want to chance the Rattans battery to run out. Looking back though, I should have had the Rattan with it’s stronger motor. I just might go back out there wit the Rattan next time.

      John have you ever run out of battery on your Lectric?

    • @ReflectionsofOurLife
      @ReflectionsofOurLife  Год назад

      I have never run out of battery with the Lectric. I have the 1.0 version so it’s a little different than the 2.0, 3.0, or the other newer models. Mine has 4 inch wide tires and a 10.4 amp hour battery. The newer bikes have 3inch wheels and different size batteries. But I think they are fairly comparable. I’ve gone 26 miles on mine and still had a little battery left. You have to consider that includes some hills and the fact that I’m about 300lbs. Rider weight makes a big difference on battery life. But even if I would have run out of battery, I still could have peddled home provided it wasn’t too far.

      My wife and I both have 2.0 step thru with the 10.4 amp battery and we have never run out of battery either. It is much more level here in Michigan and both of us weigh about 210 so we have a much easier ride. Of course with Lectric/electric bikes every ride is easy. Hills or not. Looking forward to you getting back on your bikes though. We hope to go to WV sometime in September time frame and see what climbing hills is all about!

    Hi John! When you can see an incline on a go pro you know it has to be steep!! You go to great lengths to give your viewers great content lol. Was amusing to see Lisa blow by you with her bionic hip :)

    • @ReflectionsofOurLife
      @ReflectionsofOurLife  2 года назад +1

      Haha! She did blow by me didn’t she?!?!? I felt like I was standing still! That goes to show how much weight makes a difference on these electric bikes. The good think about our rails to trails where we usually ride is that they don’t have very steep inclines. But when we have to ride on a road, we have hills more than flat spots! Great to talk to you again!

    Great vid! What's the device you guys used to keep in contact?

    • @ReflectionsofOurLife
      @ReflectionsofOurLife  2 года назад

      @KOBEFAN Thanks for stopping by…we really appreciate it! We use the Sena R1 bike helmets. They have a built in intercom and also have Bluetooth so you can answer your phone and play music from it. They also have a built in FM tuner so you can listen to your local radio stations if you like. They are rechargeable so you don’t have to buy batteries for them. A charge lasts 15hours of continuous use I believe. I have a link in the description section of my videos. If you click on that link it will take you to them so you can check them out.
